Tolerance of female subjugation
I continue to marvel at the demonstrations of inverted outrage. I woman wears a burqa (a symbol of female servitude) for a day to provoke so-called racist attitudes and they become outraged. I suppose next can have some male lead his woman around on a leash and make the same point. Oddly the photo shows the innocent waif of a girl without her head covering in the photo. An act that would get her arrested, jailed, beaten, raped or stoned to death in certain Middle Eastern countries. Like maybe Saudi Arabia.
Parkinson, who has traveled to the Middle East and wants to participate in a teacher exchange with Saudi Arabia, said she is on a mission to have other cultures, particularly those in the Middle East, better represented in school curriculums.Someone should help educate her by making this dream come true. These women are correct on one point, I just cannot understand the demand of tolerance for symbols of female enslavement.

Safer in Iraq then at home in England
We hear daily about the savage slaughter in Iraq. The indiscriminate butchering of men, women and children in the most brutal and bloody way with the sole purpose of getting the biggest and most public body count possible. But imagine the absurdity of a British citizen that feels he would be safer in Iraq then in his own neighborhood back home in Britain.
A MUSLIM soldier at the centre of an alleged kidnap plot may be sent to Iraq — because he is SAFER there than in Britain.I have always said we fight them there so we don’t have to fight them at home. For some countries it appears it may be too late.The squaddie, a corporal in his early twenties, was said to be the main target of a Birmingham cell who intended to behead him over the internet.
Last night he was being kept under tight security at an Army barracks somewhere in the Midlands.
And he had agreed with a plan to send him back to Iraq for his own safety.

Thomas Jefferson's Quran
Recently much ado was made over the swearing in of Democrat Keith Ellison on a Quran owned by Thomas Jefferson. The story as breathlessly told by an adoring dhimi press leave the impression that Thomas Jefferson had a high regard for the faith and reverence for its words and teachings. The reality is startlingly different.
Ellison's use of Jefferson's Quran as a prop illuminates a subject once well-known in the history of the United States, but, which today, is mostly forgotten - the Muslim pirate slavers who over many centuries enslaved millions of Africans and tens of thousands of Christian Europeans and Americans in the Islamic "Barbary" states.The wisdom gleaned from it's passages proved most illuminating.Over the course of 10 centuries, Muslim pirates cruised the African and Mediterranean coastline, pillaging villages and seizing slaves.
The taking of slaves in pre-dawn raids on unsuspecting coastal villages had a high casualty rate. It was typical of Muslim raiders to kill off as many of the "non-Muslim" older men and women as possible so the preferred "booty" of only young women and children could be collected.
Young non-Muslim women were targeted because of their value as concubines in Islamic markets. Islamic law provides for the sexual interests of Muslim men by allowing them to take as many as four wives at one time and to have as many concubines as their fortunes allow.
Boys, as young as 9 or 10 years old, were often mutilated to create eunuchs who would bring higher prices in the slave markets of the Middle East. Muslim slave traders created "eunuch stations" along major African slave routes so the necessary surgery could be performed. It was estimated that only a small number of the boys subjected to the mutilation survived after the surgery.
In 1805, American Marines marched across the dessert from Egypt into Tripolitania, forcing the surrender of Tripoli and the freeing of all American slaves.This particular Quran was evidently a tool Thomas Jefferson used to understand his enemy. Our new congressman swore an oath on a Quran which helped teach Thomas Jefferson that the only way to deal with the Muslims of his time was to show overwhelming force and destroy them. Read the complete article, it is fascinating.During the Jefferson administration, the Muslim Barbary States, crumbling as a result of intense American naval bombardment and on shore raids by Marines, finally officially agreed to abandon slavery and piracy.
Jefferson's victory over the Muslims lives on today in the Marine Hymn, with the line, "From the halls of Montezuma to the shores of Tripoli, we will fight our country's battles on the land as on the sea."

The popes Turkish dhimitour
Amid the death threats, protests and surrounded by the highest security ever assembled to prevent the assassination of a visiting dignitary the Pope manages to praise Islam as a religion of peace.
Not much remains of that anger, however, after he met with political and religious figures, praised Islam as a peaceful religion and said he supported Turkey's bid to get into the European Union.Just to be safe, the Christians that live in dhimitude under Turkish law made sure to denounce violence in gods name.
In a common declaration after a prayer service, Benedict and Patriarch Bartholomew rejected the concept of killing in God's name, denounced terrorism and re-committed their Churches to the quest for unity and condemned violence in the Holy Land.I am sure that once all Christians in Turkey are killed or driven away the resulting peace will be hailed as an example of how disagreement in the future should be handled.

Let the slaves wear their chains in public
I am frankly fascinated by the "enlightened" acceptance of burka's and the veil. Should the oppressed be allowed to proudly wear the symbols of their oppression as a form cultural expression? After all, who are we to condemn those foreign practices we do not understand, maybe female circumcision should be praised as well. I suppose women that prefer to be collared and leashed are also misunderstood. Will we cheer on the next black who decides he needs to wear chains as an accessory? Maybe a Jew that decides he needs to have an Auschwitz style tattoo?
But the interpretation of those messages is not so simple, and it is dangerous to define a woman by her dress. The vast majority of Canadians are offended, rightly, that theocracies and conservative Muslim states use sharia law and civil codes to oppress women. Many Muslim women who come to Canada get a cold cultural shower, immersing themselves in a society where many see their dress as a sign they are treated as less than equal to the men of their culture. They are exposed to such views every time they step, fully robed into public. The legitimacy of views held on both sides should be considered, and trigger respectful exchanges when ideas meet, minds can change. A woman's change of clothes, however, should not be subjected to law in any country.Thankfully chains and tattoos of oppression are becoming an understood evil and rightly condemned. We can only hope that one day the burka and veil can be publicly acknowledged for the burden of oppression they place on women. When I see people try to explain how wearing a burka is not a sign of oppression I have to laugh at the ignorance over the deep-seated impact of those living under repressive cultural influences controlled through fear. Even a lab rat will starve to death in sight of food if tortured enough.

Six Imams go into a bar . . . I mean plane
It almost sounds like the beginning of a joke but then again we are talking about Islam of which nothing is funny. I personally don't understand why the passengers on this particular plane had any concern.
Six imams got on a plane in Minneapolis. Accounts vary, but it seems that they were speaking in Arabic before boarding of their disgust with the U.S. war in Iraq and with American policy in general. One was heard to declare that he would do whatever was necessary to fulfill his obligations under the Koran. Another repeated, “Allah, Allah.” Once aboard, they aroused suspicion by requesting seat-belt extenders that they did not appear to require and took seats not together but scattered throughout the plane.I suspect having 6 leaders of Islam on a plane made it the safest plane on the planet. No self respecting terrorists is going to blow up a plane filled with the upper crust of hate teach. As a rule imams do not blow themselves up, they talk others into doing it and then praise them as martyrs. Imams talk the talk but coincidentally others do the walking. Just be sure the paper spells the suckers names right so the Imams know who their heroes are.

Female nudity more dangerious then blowing people up
It seems that hate, death, destruction and murder do no invite god's curse but oogling a naked women does.
Abu Bakar Bashir said local television stations should offer more religious programs instead of showing half-naked women."If you ask which are more dangerous, half-naked women or the Bali bombs? The answer is of course women who bare their bodies," Bashir was quoted as saying by Antara news agency.
He said such shows could shake the faith of men and invite God's curse.

Muslim calls for the Pope's death mount
In an effort to prove the Pope wrong in his quote about the violence of Islam we hear a rising chorus of death threats.
As security was beefed up around Pope Benedict XVI on Saturday night, the Mujahideen's Army movement in Iraq threatened to carry out a suicide attack against the Pope in revenge for his comments about Islam and jihad.Denunciation of these threats of violence may be out there but at this point the silence of the moderates is deafening. It's not just an isolated incident either.
Johannesburg (AND) Sheikh Abubukar Hassan Malin, a muslim cleric in the Somali Islamic Courts has urged muslims to kill Pope Benedict XVI after the later made controversial comments about the Islamic faith.I can only imagine the world response to an attempt by Islamic radicals to assassinate the Pope, but I suspect the world will be forced to substantive action in dealing with Islamic terror or see a revival of religious retaliation unparallel in human history. The west cannot afford to continue to turn the other cheek at each new murderous atrocity.

Groveling away your beliefs in the glare of Muslim denunciation
I personally don't see the big deal. The Bible makes it clear that Islam like any other false religion spread by false prophets is an abomination and of Satan, and that’s regardless of how it is spread. Not only that but other religions including Islam teach the same.
I marvel when Christian religious leaders fall all over themselves apologizing for the content of their primary source of divine inspiration (The Bible). Behind closed doors Muslims the world over must get no end of amusement at watching Christians back peddle on their principles and beliefs under the harsh glare of denunciation and death threats from Muslims for the so called "Christian lack of tolerance".
We see it again with the Pope's recent statements.
In a speech on Tuesday the Pope repeated criticism of the Prophet Mohammad by the 14th century Byzantine Emperor Manuel II Palaeologus, who said everything the Prophet brought was evil "such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached".Today's radical Muslims revel in being offended even when none is intended. They go out of their way just looking and begging for any opportunity to take offense and as long as the west feeds them their daily dose of apology they will keep coming back for more. Even if you apologize it will just provide them the opportunity to reject and denounce your apology. You see, they don't want an apology, they want non-Muslims on the defensive, forever groveling and searching for forgiveness from those that would do them harm.
Even the Taliban is demanding an apology.

He was fine until US foreign policy made him a killer
It takes a special kind of blindness to walk oneself through a litany of bad events only to blame the end result on the last thing that happened along. Like a building that is constructed poorly with a flawed design using defective materials with no quality control only to blame a slammed door after construction is complete for the buildings collapse. Peter Taylor with the BBC has written just such a piece.
He starts off telling us the tragic tale about an average French youth of North African decent who just so happened to be Muslim. In our story he was your average fun loving youth listening to rock and roll, going to movies and having sex with his girlfriend who because of American foreign policy gave up rock and roll, gave up sex, embraced radical Islam, dumped his girlfriend and went to Iraq to try and kill Americans.
Europe has become a hunting ground for al-Qaeda recruits. Largely disillusioned with US foreign policy, several young Muslims are making the journey east, some to become suicide bombers.So what is this solution? What is it our author concludes about American foreign policy that makes it so important that average fun loving Muslims find so impossible to tolerate?
His statements are not about any Caliphate, a pan-Muslim state which is rarely mentioned, but about US support for Israel, its backing for "apostate" Arab regimes in the Middle East and the presence of US troops in Muslim lands.In a few words we won't let Muslims exterminate or subjugate Jews, we support those evil "apostate" (apostate meaning non-Islamic governments like democracies) Arab regimes and lastly we keep trying to kill them before they kill us. I for one would like to know where the room for negotiation and discussion is. Someone please enlighten me.

If people think I am a killer I may as well kill people
Sometimes beauty queens should stick to wishing for world peace. Instead we get the usual attempt to blame terrorism on western attitudes about the overwhelming fact that the vast majority of terrorists are Muslim.
"Even moderate Muslims are turning to terrorism to prove themselves. They think they might as well support it because they are stereotyped anyway. It will take a long time for communities to start mixing in more.How can an intelligent person try to make the case that Islam is a religion of peace ... well unless someone thinks it is a religion of violence at which point that person must be killed to make him stop saying bad things about Muslims.
"I like being in the limelight because people can look at me and see I am a Muslim but good. Most of the people being pinpointed are judged by their outer appearances and people assume because they are Muslim and have a beard they have done something wrong.Does she realize she would be jailed and/or stoned to death for her mode of dress in many Muslim countries?

Babies new suicide bomb
It now seems that suicide missions can be fun for the whole family, including infant children.
A HUSBAND and wife arrested in the British terror raids allegedly planned to take their six-month-old baby on a mid-air suicide mission.Yes, 6 month old infants can qualify for 70 virgins too. I am assuming they will all be able to breast feed since I am sure the child will be suspicious of any bottles.Scotland Yard police are quizzing Abdula Ahmed Ali, 25, and his 23-year-old wife Cossor over suspicions they were to use their baby's bottle to hide a liquid bomb.

Muslim fun day called off for lack of interest
Imagine calling for a fun day in a popular theme park and no one showed up. Well that happened when a group tried to reserve a theme park in London for Muslims.
Britain's biggest theme park has called off the country's first "National Muslim Fun Day" because of lack of interest, the park said Wednesday.So what would someone serve up to encourage Muslims to come out for a day of fun and leasure you might ask?
Alton Towers in central England was to open on September 17 for Muslims -- with halal food, a strict dress code and prayer areas.That’s right, to appeal to Muslims they designed a fun day by first draining all the fun out of it.Music, gambling and alcohol were to be banned for the day and theme park rides such as "Ripsaw," "Corkscrew" and "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" all segregated by sex.

Clarifying Islam only makes it worse
When a person is ignorant of a subject it is easy to dismiss a critics words because you cannot judge the right of them, Islam is a classic example. In the PC world we live in today the only legitimate target for public ridicule and fault finding is Christianity, Islam is currently the protected faith. The so-called moderate Muslims profess loudly how their faith is misunderstood and that they are no threat to the west despite the ongoing war on terror almost exclusively carried out by Muslim faithful.
So what happens when a moderate Muslim tries to address our misconceptions? To answer this we can go to the University of Southern California website (hardly a conservative institution) where they list 10 common misconceptions and address them in order. In almost every case the attempt to refute the "misconception" actually ends up being a defense of what is actually an accurate critical understanding of Islamic teaching.
My personal favorite is this one:
Misconception 3In Islam, women are inferior to men because:
a man can marry up to 4 wives, a woman can marry only one man
a man's share of inheritance is bigger than a woman's
a man can marry a non-Muslim, a woman cannot
women must wear the veil
This widely held misconception does not remotely follow from the reasons given. The first and most important observation to make about the popular question "Are men and women equal?" is that it is a badly-formed, unanswerable question. The problem which many people conveniently ignore is that "equal" is not defined. This is a very critical point: the equality must be specified with respect to some measurable property. For example, women on average are superior to men if we ask who is shorter in height than the other ("Growth and Development", Encyclopaedia Britannica, 1992).
Given that husbands are obligated to provide for wives, and that marriage is a highly recommended goal of Islam, it is easy to see why women's inheritance share is half that of men.
While men are allowed to marry up to four wives, they are also commanded to meet the preconditions of being able to financially support them. They must also deal with each wife justly and fairly with respect to marital and economic obligations.
Finally, the wearing of the veil by women is also an illogical premise to claim that women are inferior to men. It is more appropriate to indict a society of female exploitation if it tolerates pornography rather than if it enforces the veil.While this is the most classic example of why the "misconceptions" are actually dead on accurate, this one is why the "misconceptions" are are deadly accurate.
Misconception 7By allowing the killing for ambiguous reasons based on "just cause" for "certain crimes" the door to the slaughter of innocents is left wide open. Islam is a faith that takes offense at every turn, offering up just cause as sure and as often as a person takes a breath.Islam tolerates the killing of innocents because:
Muslims can be terrorists
Muslims engage in `holy wars' (jihad)
Islam spread by the sword
it has a harsh and cruel judicial system
This misconception is one of the most widely held misconceptions about Islam today. And yet in the Qur'an, the Creator unambiguously states (translation),
[17:33] Nor take life - which Allah has made sacred - except for just cause. And if anyone is slain wrongfully, we have given his heir authority (to demand retaliation or to forgive): but let him not exceed bounds in the matter of taking life, for he is helped (by the Law)
Based on this verse, it is Islamically unlawful to murder anyone who is innocent of certain crimes.
Be sure to read it all. If a Christian organization posted this kind of defense on the USC website the organization and university would be denounced as a bunch of sexist and driven off as a oppressive cult that subjugated women.

The unspeakable horror of Islamic fanaticism
I warn you now, if you cannot stand the most vile of human behavior do not read the quotes in this post or the linked article. The events described were on a videotape sent to the family of a patriotic Iraqi Muslim female journalist. This is what the civilized world is combating. If you oppose the war on terror, do not believe it to be a war or think negotiation can work out the differences I dare you to have the courage to read this report.
A large man dressed in military fatigues, boots and cap approaches from behind and covers her mouth with his left hand. In his right hand, he clutches a large knife with a black handle and an 8in blade. He proceeds to cut her throat from the middle, slicing from side to side.Her cries — “Ah, ah, ah” — can be heard above the “Allahu akbar” (God is greatest) intoned by the holder of the mobile phone.
Only now does the executioner return to finish the task. He hacks off her head and drops it to the ground, then picks it up again and perches it on her bare chest so that it faces the film-maker in a grotesque parody of one of her pieces to camera.
She had nine drill holes in her right arm and 10 in her left, he said. The drill had also been applied to her legs, her navel and her right eye. One can only hope that these mutilations were made after her death.
The voice of one of the Arab world’s most highly regarded and outspoken journalists has been silenced. She was 30.They just wanted her to suffer and die for all to see for the glory of Allah.
Who will be the first to look away, hide or pretend that this is somehow America's fault.

Muslims threaten German whores over flags
Whats a working girl to do when she cannot offer her services to Muslims without threats of violence.
"On Saturday night there were 20 masked men armed with knives and sticks. They threatened to get violent and even bomb the place unless we black out the Iranian and Saudia Arabian flags on the poster as well," said Lobscheid.Girls just wanna have fun.The men had left before the police arrived. But to spare his establishment any more trouble, Lobscheid ordered a crane to black out the two flags as well.

Men and women are equal under Islam
It is hard to find anything more pathetic then listening to a Muslim woman defend Islamic practices on the treatment of women. No matter how hard they try, in the end they come off sounding like hostages that have bonded with their captors.
Muslim women and men share equality in the eyes of God, two speakers said at the opening event for Islam Awareness Week at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Women are typically the guardians of the home, while men are expected to support the family, Mogahed said. However, women may work if their husbands allow it, Mogahed said.
"The relationship between men and women shouldn't be one of competition. It's a relationship of love and mercy," Mogahed said. "We weren't supposed to be exactly like men. We're supposed to be exactly like women."Mercy? I suppose that is a reference to those times a wife must be disciplined by beating her with a stick for her own good.

The Dhimmi
South Africa had an aparthied arrangement that was a shadow of this and activists around the world were outraged. Learn this term because it is how non-Muslims under Muslim rule live.
7th-21st century. The notion of Dhimmitude, originating in the 7th century, still applies today to non-Muslims under Islamic rule—whether Jews or Christians, whether in Saudi Arabia or in Sudan. Dhimmitude began in 628 CE when Mohammed and his forces conquered the Jewish oasis at Khaybar. They massacred many of the Jews and forced the rest to accept a pact ("Dhimma") which rendered them inferiror to their Muslim conquerors. Over the centuries, the ideology of Dhimmitude expanded into a formal system of religious apartheid.This is not ancient Islam, it is modern practiced today Islam.Institutionalized apartheid. In Shari’a law, there are official discriminations against the Dhimmi, such as the poll-tax or jizya.
No legal rights. Jews may not testify in court against a Muslim and have no legal right to dispute or challenge anything done to them by Muslims. There is no such thing as a Muslim raping a Jewish woman; there is no such thing as a Muslim murdering a Jew (at most, it can be manslaughter). In contrast, a Jew who strikes a Muslim is killed.
Humiliation and vulnerability. Jews and Christians had to walk around with badges or veils identifying them as Jews or Christians. The yellow star that Jews had wear in Nazi Germany did not originate in Europe. It was borrowed from the Muslim world where it was part of the apartheid system of Dhimmitude.
The sad part is many in the west like those in the past accept dhimmitude willingly through their silence and fear.

South Park demonstrates how Islam can be a religion of peace
The two most recent episodes of South Park illustrate what Muslims mean when they refer to Islam as a religion of peace. In these episodes the South Park creators were not allowed to depict Mohammed in a normal way handing a helmet to another character but were allowed to show Jesus Christ defecating on George Bush and the American flag. When contacted the heads of comedy central stood by the decision as best for the safety of all concerned.
The network's decision was made over concerns for public safety, the person said.Missions accomplished, Islam once again brings peace.Comedy Central said in a statement issued Thursday: "In light of recent world events, we feel we made the right decision." Its executives would not comment further.

Christian in Afganistan may be released
Well rumor is all the pressure brought to bare by the international community may be working.
An Afghan Christian facing possible execution for converting from Islam was likely to be released from jail "soon," a senior government official said following huge Western pressure over the case.If released I do not expect him to live very long if he remains in Afghanistan. There are plenty of willing murderers wandering the country ready to dispense Allah's will with rust kitchen utensils. We have not seen the last of this issue regardless of the outcome."He is likely to be released soon," the official said, adding there would be a top-level meeting on the matter Saturday.

Muslims wanting to behead a Christian claim he is insane
In other news patients at the local psycho ward have locked all the doors to keep the crazy people out.
Abdul Rahman, 41, went on trial last week in Kabul. He was arrested last month after his family accused him of becoming a Christian. The conversion is a crime under Afghanistan's Islamic laws, and a death sentence is possible.You have to be amazed when people that practice a religion which calls for murder of innocents by beheading claim a peaceful Christian is insane.But prosecutor Sarinwal Zamari said questions have been raised about his mental fitness.
He may very well be mentally ill or this may be a ploy to get out of the current political embarrassment but those lame ploys will only postpone addressing the real issues of true religious freedom in Afghanistan. It would be quite a statement if the only truly peaceful principled person in the Middle East turns out to be a Christian madman.

Peaceful Muslims are irrelevant
When good people stand by and allow their good name to be used for butchery without speaking against it they are just as culpable because they know better.
We are told again and again by "experts" and "talking heads" that Islam is the religion of peace, and that the vast majority of Muslims just want to live in peace.That these atrocities are dismissed as allowable because of cultural differences is obscene. It makes Muslims as well as their secular apologists responsible.
Although this unquantified assertion may be true, it is entirely irrelevant. It is meaningless fluff, meant to make us feel better, and meant to somehow diminish the specter of fanatics rampaging across the globe in the name of Islam. The fact is, that the fanatics rule Islam at this moment in history. It is the fanatics who march. It is the fanatics who wage any one of 50 shooting wars world wide. It is the fanatics who systematically slaughter Christian or tribal groups throughout Africa and are gradually taking over the entire continent in an Islamic wave. It is the fanatics who bomb, behead, murder, or honor kill. It is the fanatics who take over mosque after mosque. It is the fanatics who zealously spread the stoning and hanging of rape victims and homosexuals. The hard quantifiable fact is, that the "peaceful majority" is the "silent majority" and it is cowed and extraneous.

More cartoons muslims find offensive
The New Straits Times apologizes and awaits government sanction for printing this offense against Islam. 
There was no caricature of the Prophet Muhammad at all in that cartoon; nor was there any derogatory comment made about the Prophet or Islam.Perhaps, in more ordinary circumstances, such a cartoon would not have received more than a passing mention.
The NST never intended to hurt any feelings. At least one religious scholar has told the NST that the cartoon was not offensive but could, if different people wished, be interpreted differently.Maybe we should all just surrender and convert to Islam now.But we stand corrected. We should have been more sensitive — human error or not. So again, we apologize.
And again, we will willingly accept any action deemed fit by the Government.

Will Iraq be led like ignorant sheep into civil war
Are the Iraqi people smart enough not to fall into the trap of civil war that some are trying so hard to foment?
More than 100 people have been killed in Iraq in the aftermath of a bomb attack on a key Shia Muslim shrine.This is a serious test for those democratic forces in Iraq working for a better future. Lets all hope they succeed and that the average Iraqi starts to wise up about who really has their best interests at heart.
Some 50 bullet-riddled bodies were found in Baghdad overnight and 47 factory workers were killed at a roadblock near the capital.

I doubt I get any serious Muslim traffic but it is only right that I do my part in supporting free speech. Make no mistake these cartoons are dead on accurate in their satirical barbs.

15 more dead in religion of peace protest
How many more must die over cartoons. Practitioners of the religion of peace have now gone after the cartoonist, Danish, Jews, American, Priests, Christians and last but not least Ronald McDonald. Governments worldwide are purging their ranks, passing laws and denouncing those standing up to the violence and up for free speech.
"Most of the dead were Christians beaten to death on the streets by the rioters," Ezeoke said.The cartoons were dead on accurate.

One million dollars to kill a cartoonist
The cartoon wars are beginning to look like the Price is Right game show.
Qureshi said the mosque and his religious school would give $25,000 and a car, while a local jewelers' association would give another $1 million. No representative of the association was available to confirm it had made the offer.The religion of peace inspires again."This is a unanimous decision by all imams (prayer leaders) of Islam that whoever insults the prophet deserves to be killed and whoever will take this insulting man to his end, will get this prize," Qureshi said.
