The only ones hiring minorities are minorities and Republicans

You regularly hear the old myth about Republicans being racist bigots but the dirty little secret is that Democrats judge racial progress by the number of minorities on welfare, getting abortions, getting set asides and getting preferential treatment through affirmative action. As a rule these are people to be pitied but not employed or to associate with except at arms distance. It's no surprise to me that Democrats helping minorities’ does not actually mean hiring them.

Despite the Democratic Party's historical ties to minorities, Capitol Hill Republicans are said to have a better reputation for hiring minorities.
According to a running joke one House staffer shared with The Times, "the only people who hire blacks and Hispanics around here are blacks, Hispanics and Republicans."
Rep. Gregory W. Meeks, New York Democrat and a member of the Congressional Black Caucus, did not dispute the charge.
"I've heard it, and I've looked around and found myself scratching my head," he said. "That has been said and it is a challenge for us to make sure our numbers are better."
If your a minority who is looking for pity and a hand out go talk to your compassionate Democrat. If you want a job or future go see a Republican.

Black lawmakers rally around cold cash congressman

I was wondering if the Congressional Black Caucus would rally around William Jefferson and sure enough they did. All this talk about culture of corruption and demands for resignations go out the window when one of their own gets caught taking bribes on video tape and hiding the cash in his freezer. All events he has yet to even deny.

Furious black lawmakers, rallying behind Rep. William Jefferson (D-La.), were pulled back from the brink of open revolt against House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) in an emergency meeting with her yesterday.

The meeting with a handful of CBC members was called after Pelosi wrote the embattled lawmaker, who is at the center of a massive bribery scandal, a curt note requesting his immediate resignation from the powerful Ways and Means Committee.

The beauty part is the CBC is taking its ire out on fellow democrats who dare to raise a peep by preying on their white guilt and fear of being labeled racists.
Most lawmakers would not comment afterwards, but a CBC aide summed up some members’ frustration, saying, “Congresswoman Pelosi, by preemption without any legal justification, has now created a new precedent for how members are going to be treated. Unfortunately, she’s chosen to single out an African-American for this honor.”
It will be quite a story if the Democratic party looses it's favorite issue because it cannot demand the accountability of blacks within their own ranks out of fear.

What does a Muslim look like?

NBC is working on series which tries to show how racist Americans are. More specifically how racist Republicans are. We know this because they are targeting NASCAR events which are supposedly populated by tobacco drooling inbred redneck bigots from the south.

This brings up an interesting question. What does NBC think a Muslim looks and acts like? Well we know what they were looking for.

They are looking for men who actually "look Muslim". They want a guy with no foreign accent whatsoever, a good thick beard, an outgoing personality, and someone willing to wear a kufi/skullcap during the filming. They also want someone who is fairly well accomplished and has contributed to society at large in some meaningful way.

That said, I'm urgently looking for someone who can be filmed this April 1st weekend at a Nascar event (and other smaller events) in Virginia.

So basically they are looking for someone who appears to be Muslim on the outside but is purely pro-American on the inside, a Muslim appearing person who can walk around being a pleasant harmless friendly human being.

Could then not find any Muslims that look like Muslims? Could they not find any Muslims with "no foreign accent whatsoever, a good thick beard, an outgoing personality, and someone willing to wear a kufi/skullcap during the filming". Could they find no Muslims that "has contributed to society at large in some meaningful way". Could it be that NBC thinks Muslims are incapable of being all these things? Could it be that the people at NBC are a bunch of racists that believe the stereotypes they pretend to abhor? Could it be that the stereotypes have some basis in fact?

I have a few ideas that NBC can try next.

Have an attractive woman walk into a mosque in America dressed like they do at the Emmy awards.
Have a Jew with cap walk into a mosque in America.
Have a white woman walk down a gang infested street at night.
Have any white westerner walk down a street in Palestine.
Publish a picture of Mohammed. Any picture will do.

Then come back and talk to me about tolerance.

McKinney Apologizes for being racially profiled

The ongoing race card victim drama being played out by Rep. Cynthia McKinney takes a new twist with her recent apology.

"There should not have been any physical contact in this incident," McKinney said in brief remarks on the House floor. "I am sorry that this misunderstanding happened at all and I regret its escalation and I apologize."
Is she apologizing to the cop for striking him? The Capitol police force for calling them a pack of racist bigots? The Democrats for causing them to look like the fools they are? Or is she just apologizing for her new hairdo which makes her look like the mad hatter women she is?

Since she is supporting the bill expressing admiration and support for the professionalism of the Capital police force maybe she is apologizing for her needing to be racial profiled.

My best guess is that she wanted to get the word apologize into some form of statement without having to associate it with anything or anyone in particular to provide cover for her apologist buddies that are embarrassed to be in the same room with her, that or she is hoping to stay out of jail for being an idiot and attacking a cop.

Dead black woman as a political stage

It was supposed to be a fond remembrance of a civil rights icon but no moment is to precious to pass an opportunity for a national audience.

Today's memorial service for civil rights activist Coretta Scott King -- billed as a "celebration" of her life -- turned suddenly political as one former president took a swipe at the current president, who was also lashed by an outspoken black pastor!

The outspoken Rev. Joseph Lowery, co-founder of Southern Christian Leadership Conference, ripped into President Bush during his short speech, ostensibly about the wife of Martin Luther King Jr.

"She extended Martin's message against poverty, racism and war. She deplored the terror inflicted by our smart bombs on missions way afar. We know now that there were no weapons of mass destruction over there," Lowery said.

The mostly black crowd applauded, then rose to its feet and cheered in a two-minute-long standing ovation.

A closed-circuit television in the mega-church outside Atlanta showed the president smiling uncomfortably.

"But Coretta knew, and we know," Lowery continued, "That there are weapons of misdirection right down here," he said, nodding his head toward the row of presidents past and present. "For war, billions more, but no more for the poor!" The crowd again cheered wildly.

Former President Jimmy Carter later swung at Bush as well, not once but twice. As he talked about the Kings, he said: "It was difficult for them then personally with the civil liberties of both husband and wife violated as they became the target of secret government wiretaps." The crowd cheered as Bush, under fire for a secret wiretapping program he ordered after the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, again smiled weakly.

Later, Carter said Hurricane Katrina showed that all are not yet equal in America. Some black leaders have blamed Bush for the poor federal response, and rapper Kayne West said that Bush "hates" black people.

It reminds me of the fevered funeral of Khomeini or Arafat when the corpse is dragged out paraded and dropped in an ugly and cheap display of fevered hysteria. Give Bush credit he acted with dignity and respect throughout the ordeal which is something thse "more compassionate" cannot claim.

If only Jimmy Carter would have been honest enough to go the extra mile and point out that it was Ted Kennedy's (was sitting next to his wife) democrat brothers administration that had wiretapped the King's. My guess is it would not have been nearly as good an applause line.

Study tries to show Republican = racist

Let’s forget for a moment that Republicans have appointed blacks to real positions of policy importance rather then token appointments. Let’s ignore the fact that Republicans are pressing to provide school choice which would allow blacks out of the school hell holes Democrats force them into by kowtowing to teachers unions. Let’s ignore the destruction visited on blacks by welfare programs which destroyed their families and forced them onto welfare rolls. Let’s forget the inflated crime statistics for blacks as a percent of the population because of the destruction of the black families. Lets forget the out of proportion number of black children destroyed by abortion. The liberal compassion of low expectations is the worst kind of bigotry.

"If anyone in Washington is skeptical about these findings, they are in denial," he said. "We have 50 years of evidence that racial prejudice predicts voting. Republicans are supported by whites with prejudice against blacks. If people say, 'This takes me aback,' they are ignoring a huge volume of research."
Only a Liberal could look at a picture of a black in a welfare situation as a positive thing and call a Republican a racist because he thinks it's a bad thing.
For their study, Nosek, Banaji and social psychologist Erik Thompson culled self-acknowledged views about blacks from nearly 130,000 whites, who volunteered online to participate in a widely used test of racial bias that measures the speed of people's associations between black or white faces and positive or negative words.
At least it was a highly controlled scientific experiment. Go Condi Rice in 2008 from a Republican racist.

When is it racism?

Martin Luther King holiday and the excesses displayed during the remembrance have gotten me wondering what really constitutes racism and can it even be objectively defined. Does it require overt racist acts (slurs or open hostile acts) or is it defined by the reaction of the offended? Can a minority be racist against itself and can a traditionally oppressed minority be racist?

Two good examples that blur the lines are a couple of parodies I have run across, one of which I linked yesterday. They are rent-a-negro and negro space program. I found rent-a-negro on La Shawn Barbers web site. She is a black conservative blogger that I consider a must read. In both these cases had they been created by a white person they would likely be branded racist. Had they then been distributed and linked, those doing so would also be open to charges of racism. These instead were created by blacks as satire and are thus considered acceptable (or are they?). In any case why do I feel it necessary to point out that I learned of these from black bloggers. Could it be that I am concerned about being called a racist for linking such obviously funny satire from those unaware of it's origins? By giving credit to my source am I trying to insulate myself from racist guilt or overt charges of racism?

What about white politicians that try to hitch their wagon to the oppressed minority star like Hillary Clinton did yesterday?

The House “has been run like a plantation, and you know what I’m talking about,” said Clinton, D-N.Y. “It has been run in a way so that nobody with a contrary view has had a chance to present legislation, to make an argument, to be heard.”
Bill was commonly referred to as the first black president because he came from a broken home. Did this make Hillary the first black first lady? Does it give her license to take on the mantra of historically oppressed racial minorities as her own? When a white person takes on this mantra for political gain are they stealing from the legacy and tainting it's power to the detriment of those truly discriminated against.

An even better example is the speech of Ray Nagin.

"It's time for us to come together. It's time for us to rebuild New Orleans — the one that should be a chocolate New Orleans," the mayor said. "This city will be a majority African American city. It's the way God wants it to be. You can't have New Orleans no other way. It wouldn't be New Orleans."
Imagine the firestorm over a call from anyone for a city to be a majority of any race other then black. Imagine if this came from Pat Robertson.
Mayor Ray Nagin suggested Monday that Hurricanes Katrina and Rita and other storms were a sign that "God is mad at America" and at black communities, too, for tearing themselves apart with violence and political infighting.
Hurricanes as a punishment to blacks? Is race becoming just a tool for hollow accusations designed to gain power over others?

Wal-Mart Demands Quotas

Wal-Mart has lost its way and begun its trip down the PC path. It is making the mistake of assuming that its image woes can be fixed by demanding racial quotas from law firms with which it does business.

The nation's biggest retailer wants to see diversity at the top. The company's general counsel has told its top 100 law firms that at least one person of color and one woman must be among the top five relationship attorneys that handle its business.
Wal-mart has been suffering its own claims of racist and sexist hiring practices and I can only guess this is an attempt to address the problem by heaping it on others.

The Acceptable Racism of the Left

If a Republican tried this kind of stunt he would have become radioactive, and with good reason. But it is about power, which means racist stereotypes and slurs are considered acceptable by democrats and the left if their supporters participate in these vile practices. How else can you explain Robert Byrd ex-KKK clansman.

steelesmeared.jpg
During the 2002 campaign, Democratic supporters pelted Mr. Steele with Oreo cookies during a gubernatorial debate at Morgan State University in Baltimore. In 2001, Senate President Thomas V. Mike Miller Jr. called Mr. Steele an "Uncle Tom," when Mr. Steele headed the state Republican Party. Mr. Miller, Prince George's County Democrat, later apologized for the remark. "That's not racial. If they call him the "N' word, that's racial," Mrs. Marriott said. "Just because he's black, everything bad you say about him isn't racial."
Even black leftest are willing to sellout and sell their souls for these cheap racist political points.

Rosa Parks dies at 92

A true person of courage that held her ground against the true injustice of racism and segregation of the time.

Parks' moment in history began in December 1955 when she refused to give up her seat on a bus to a white man in Montgomery, Alabama.

Post-Traumatic Slave Syndrome

It was bound to happen with today’s explosion of post-traumatic hypochondriac analysis of the day approaches sweeping the nation.

"My point is, surely African Americans are resilient," DeGruy-Leary said. "No, we aren't victims. It's not an excuse. It's a reality we've never looked at."
In plain English she is trying to say blacks are non-victim victims.

Thousands Attend Millions More Movement

The title of this article alone was worth the entry. Especially today when you consider the trends in new math where 1+1=3 is OK if you don't want to accept oppressive white Eurocentric practices focusing on accuracy as opposed to promoting self esteem and cultural diversity. Who is to say what is correct or not.

I guess Louis Farrakhan can only get so far these days with his race baiting ranting about Jews/whites, genocide and visiting his god on the mother ship before he embarrasses people so much they don't want to be seen with him. I have heard the audio where he talks about being taken up to the mothership and inspired to put together the Million Man March. How that never made the mainstream media I will never know. But then again maybe I do.

More Cliff Jumping Leadership from Louis Farrakhan

What is funnier is watching other black leaders give him the benefit of the doubt.

Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan fueled a rumor that explosives, not Hurricane Katrina, broke New Orleans' dikes and flooded poor African American neighborhoods.
It's not a new charge but it never gets old.

sub.jpg
"A member of the Army Corps of Engineers saw burn marks on the concrete," Farrakhan told reporters, describing an e-mail he had received.
I wonder if he sent the $25.00 they were probably requesting to continue their research.

He should really consider investing in a spam filter. I get these e-mails too but usually they come from attorneys in Nigeria. The only thing missing is where he blames it on Jews.

Ethnic Cleansing in New Orleans

First it was charges of racism now it is ethnic cleansing in New Orleans. Are there no depths to racial victimization too low to reach?

This is turning into the ethnic cleansing of New Orleans

There is empty housing for the tens of thousands made homeless by Katrina - but the white elite have other plans

The only way to prevent this atrocity is for the evil white racist property owners in the rich neighborhoods to turn over their vacant property to blacks that lost their homes in the flooding.

I suppose hiring blacks to help rebuild New Orleans will be considered slavery before this is over. That’s about the only cheap racial platitude that I have not seen used.

White Flight or Responsible Parenting?

A recent court ruling against approximately 70 kids placed them in a jeopardy of being kicked out of a Mumford school and forcing them to return to the Hearne school. Some have been trying to characerize this as racism on the part of the white parents.

Hundreds of students who have transferred from Hearne to the Mumford Independent School District will have to go home to reverse an illegal "white flight" trend that has segregated the districts, according to a ruling delivered out of a federal court in Tyler last week.
What this fails to mention is that MOST of the kids transferring were MINORITY STUDENTS. The court ruling singled out the "white kids" only as needing to go back to Hearne.
Hearne
3rd Grade: 69%
7th Grade: 45%
11th Grade: 21%

Mumford
3rd Grade: 99%
7th Grade: 67%
11th Grade: 80%

These numbers reflect the students who passed all the tests in each of these grade levels. Mumford has more than a double digit percentage-point edge on Hearne. Mumford scored at or above the state and regional averages, while Hearne was below those averages.

What amazes me about these scores is that Hearne teachers are allowed anywhere near kids. Based on these results sending kids to Hearne is like flushing them down the toilet.
He also said he was shocked that only white students were ordered to come back by Judge William Justice, and that Hearne would have welcomed back all students. However, in Hearne's response to Mumford's request for a stay, Hearne's lawyers explicitly request Judge Justice to "clarify the order to clearly state that it enjoins all white transfers from Hearne ISD."
If a court tried to force my kids into a joke of a school like this I would be trying to get them out too up to and including moving regardless of my race.

Black Man Sues Democratic Party for Repariations

The idea of reparations for slavery is absurd on its face. Demanding compensation for something that did not happen to you from someone who was not responsible is un-American in so many ways. It has to sting when you get clobbered by your own bat.

Licking his chops, interim president of the NAACP Dennis C. Hayes said, “... we will be pursuing reparations from companies that have historical ties to slavery and engaging all parties to come to the table.” I have to wonder, though, if “all parties” means there’s place at that table for one Rev. Wayne Perryman.

You see, Rev. Perryman, a conservative minister from Seattle, Washington, has filed suit against the Democrat Party, charging “that because of their racist past practices the Democratic Party should be required to pay African Americans Reparations.”

What an inspired idea. This is the party of George Wallace, who blocked schoolhouse doors after an integration order and is famous for the campaign battle cry, “Segregation today, segregation tomorrow, segregation forever!” It’s the party of the original Ku Klux Klan. It’s the party of slavery. It’s also the party occupied by virtually all the members of the Greenback Coalition. Ah, no sweeter irony have lips ever tasted: those throwing the reparations stones are living in a most fragile glass house.

Rev. Perryman has without a doubt discovered the best way to illustrate this absurdity I could ever imagine.

Extortion Goes Mainstream NAACP

The practice of extortion by the poverty pimps is not really new. The difference is now it is acceptable open policy. Jessie Jackson and the Rainbow Coalition have been doing this for years under the table as one of their main revenue sources. Why is this extortion you say, because no one alive today has had anything to do with slavery. In America the sins of the father do not pass to the son. This is about money.

The NAACP will target private companies as part of its economic agenda, seeking reparations from corporations with historical ties to slavery and boycotting companies that refuse to participate in its annual business diversity report card.
"Absolutely, we will be pursuing reparations from companies that have historical ties to slavery and engaging all parties to come to the table," Dennis C. Hayes, interim president and chief executive officer of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, said yesterday at the group's 96th annual convention here.
"Many of the problems we have now including poverty, disparities in health care and incarcerations can be directly tied to slavery."
Slavery was abolished 150 years ago; nothing today is "Directly tied to slavery". More here.

AN N-WORD DOUBLE STANDARD CONFESSION

We always knew it existed even though it was denied. Nice to see the two faced mask slip.

"I felt like a [n-word]," remarked the 70-year-old white multimillionaire graduate of Princeton University and Harvard Law School.

Washington gadfly Evan Gahr reported Nader's comments on his chimpstein.com Web site.

"If Ed Koch had said what Ralph Nader said, we'd be marching," Sharpton noted. "This [scolding] doesn't rise to the level of a march. It rises to the level of a wrist slap."

Yesterday, Nader told me he was using the word in the same spirit as the Black Panthers of the 1960s - "as a word of defiance."

But Sharpton retorted: "He's not a Black Panther."

Democratic operative Harold Ickes - a former civil rights activist who lost a kidney in 1965 after being beaten to a pulp by white racists in Tallulah, La. - was also troubled by Nader's use of the epithet.

"It's not something that I would say," Ickes told me yesterday. "Having grown up in the 1950s and 1960s, I think it's not a word that whites can use.

I still marvel at the similarities between his background and that of your average Black Panther. Not! You do have to wonder if Nader understands what the Black Panther's were though. The murdering, drug crazed cons or the myth of innocent civil rights activists. Rest here.
