The three little pigs...I mean puppies

Even Muslim's find this level of self inflicted dhimmitude embarrassing.

A junior school production of the children's story has been renamed the Three Little Puppies for fear of offending Muslims.

Organisers of a children's music festival have altered the popular characters and lyrics because of the multi-cultural nature of the youngsters involved and their parents in the audience.

But yesterday Islamic leaders condemned the politically correct move as misguided and said decisions like this were turning Muslims into 'misfits' in society.

If they are so worried about offending Muslims one has to wonder why they are not wearing burqas or head scarves. It would be a shame if the children's parents did show up to watch because they were offended by all the inappropriately dressed women.

No place for Christ in Christmas

When Christ was about to be born his parents were having a hard time finding a place in the inn. Today Christ has a hard time finding a place in his own birthday celebration.

A public Christmas festival is no place for the Christmas story, the city says. Officials have asked organizers of a downtown Christmas festival, the German Christkindlmarket, to reconsider using a movie studio as a sponsor because it is worried ads for its film "The Nativity Story" might offend non-Christians.
How is it possible for people attending a Christmas festival to be offended by depictions of Christ birth, except in the bizarre world of multicultural inclusion which translates into the exclusion of Christian symbols and ideas. This is unspeakably idiotic thinking.

Throwing the patriotism baby out with the dirty bathwater

You know things are going wrong when we ban or hide our own patriotic symbols so we can be "fair" to those who would despise and desecrate American symbols of patriotism.

In the wake of last week's immigration-reform protests, one school district is taking drastic measures, banning all symbols of patriotism, both U.S. and Mexican.
Symbols of Mexican patriotism? From supposed "patriotic" Americasn? In America?

Maybe the educational system has gotten so bad at teaching geography that these kids have forgotten where they live. Most reports do describe them as students after all.

The real answer is more American flags from real Americans.

Self regulate free speach

Is censorship any different if it is done by force or our of fear?

Mr Frattini, a former Italian foreign minister, said the EU faced the "very real problem" of trying to reconcile "two fundamental freedoms, the freedom of expression and the freedom of religion".

Millions of European Muslims felt "humiliated" by the publication of cartoons of Mohammed, he added, calling on journalists and media chiefs to accept that "the exercising of a right is always the assumption of a responsibility". He appealed to European media to agree to "self-regulate".

Accepting such self-regulation would send an important political message to the Muslim world, Mr Frattini said.

By agreeing to a charter "the press will give the Muslim world the message: we are aware of the consequences of exercising the right of free expression, we can and we are ready to self-regulate that right", he said.

Or is this just ignorance.

Self censorship in the face of the cartoon riots does send a message though. It sends the message that the western democracies are weak cowards that can be intimidated by irrational violence.

For examples of the rising tide of government and corporate efforts to "self regulate" be sure to read Michelle Malkins piece here. It's getting cold and ugly out there.

If the press can insult Islam why can't others?

We unwashed masses have been fed a constant diet of outrage over insensitivity to Islam from the false Koran in a urinal story to racist soup to mocking Islam as a religion of peace. But when the press gets criticized for the same they close ranks in their mutual admiration support society.

Newspapers across Europe have reprinted caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad to show support for a Danish paper whose cartoons have sparked Muslim outrage.
Don't misunderstand, I support the right to publish this kind of editorial mockery of Islam's hypocrisy but this freedom of speech should not be reserved for just the so-called "press".

Or at least be consistent and headline as shocking their burning and desecration of our symbols.

Racist soup

While I have no real knowledge of the groups involved, the idea of racist soup being distributed to the homeless is PC run amuck. Even if true, where is it someone else’s business to tell people providing a chartable service how to do it, who to serve and what to serve.

Charity groups with far-right links serving pork soup to homeless people face a crackdown by French officials.
Protesters have accused the groups of deliberate discrimination against Jews and Muslims, who do not eat the meat.

Strasbourg officials have banned the hand-outs and police in Paris have closed soup kitchens in an effort to avert racial tension.

Can they not form their own charity to address the needs of the underserved? It's not like they are being barred from partaking of the soup.

Banning Christmas and the Forth of July

And why would someone do that?

An administrator at California State University, Sacramento has banned decorations pertaining to Christmas and the 4th of July, among other holidays, from her office because they represent "religious discrimination" and "ethnic insensitivity."

"Time has come to recognize that religious discrimination, as well as ethnic insensitivity to certain holidays, is forbidden," Patricia Sonntag, director of the Office of Services to Students with Disabilities, stated in the directive she e-mailed to members of her staff on Dec. 9.

I grow so weary of reading this kind of ignorance from people in positions of authority.

Apology by School Principal for saying Christmas

The war goes on.

Queensland's Yeppoon State School head Laurelle Allen wrote the apology after a family claimed she had discriminated against them by using "Christmas" too many times in school newsletters.
He should had written them a letter telling them to get a life.

The "A" Word?

Hugh Hewitt spots this gem in the John Roberts SCOTUS confirmation hearing.

Senator Schumer: So my question is not the substance, but do you regret the tone of these memos, do you regret some of the inartful phrases you used in some of those memos, for instance, a reference to "illegal amigos" in one memo?
Go here for information on your newly minted racist Hollywood offering.

Does this now make Steve Martin, Chevy Chase, and Martin Short racist?

Pistol Pete Disarmed in PC Gun Control Banning

The real Pistol Pete would never have stood for this. He has obviously been feminized by being subjected to sensitivity training.

New Mexico State University's mascot, Pistol Pete, is being disarmed. University officials have also stripped the word "Pistol" from Pete's name. The new logo shows Pete twirling a lasso. The old Pete toted a pistol.
I assume the new team colors will be pink and mauve (whatever mauve is). Give him another year and we will probably be informed he is gay as well.

Air America Takes Candy from Babies and Cat Food From Elderly

A real blogswarm seems to be developing over the recent Air America Scandal involving what appears to be a transfer of government grants to Progress Media (the previous incarnation of Air America) from Gloria Wise Boys & Girls Club (a chartable organization) set up to help children and the elderly.

Originally the transfer (in the form of a loan which was never paid back) was said to be about $400,000 but has recently ballooned to $800,000. What makes it interesting is that the scandal seems to be a combination of Enron style financial shenanigans combined with televangelist style hypocrisy. Considering the disdain Air America spouts for both these kinds of activities it makes for hilarious reading.

It will be very interesting to see if Air America can survive this considering its financially strapped position and miniscule fan base.

To keep up on the latest I recommend Michelle Malkin.

College Professor Feels Threatened by Dissenting Opinion

In the continuing effort to purge dissent from our educational institutions we get this.

WAYNE, N.J. -- An employee at William Paterson University who was reprimanded for using a private e-mail to describe homosexuals as "perversions" says his rights were violated. Jihad Daniel, 68, of Hackensack, made his comments in March in response to an e-mail he received that had been sent university-wide by professor Arlene Holpp Scala. That message invited people to a film about lesbian relationships, titled "Ruthie and Connie: Every Room in the House."

Daniel, who works repairing the university's computer networks, responded in an e-mail to Scala that he did not want to receive messages about "Ruthie and Connie."

"These are perversions," he wrote as part of his one-paragraph response.

Daniel went on to write that "the absence of God in higher education brings on confusion. That is why in these classes the Creator of the heavens and the earth is never mentioned."

Scala forwarded the e-mail to a university office responsible for handling discrimination complaints, saying she thought it was threatening and also went against the school's anti-discrimination policy.

The publicly funded university reprimanded Daniel, saying his comments were derogatory and demeaning.

Daniel, who also takes communications classes part-time at the university, challenged the reprimand.

"Even if someone didn't like what you said, you still have the right to say it," said Daniel, who told The Record of Bergen County that he was expressing his Muslim beliefs.

Daniel's appeals have been rejected by the university. A Philadelphia-based organization, the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education, has taken up the case and says it will fight to have the reprimand removed.[Emphasis mine]

As one who is constantly bombarded with pornographic spam I pay good money to have this kind of garbage blocked and here it is forced on the general university population by the university staff. To top it off, complaining about it gets you repremanded. Isn't this an example of the university being threatening? Where is the tolerance of differing ideas and cultural beliefs?

UPDATE: A buddy of mine tells me that calling this movie pornographic may not be fair since it might be a "Suzie and Sally homemaker" style movie with cooking and cleaning tips for the typical lesbian household. If true I will have to revise my comments. That would just make it perverted. If I am to be considered bigoted I would like it to be for using the proper term in respect to movie content.

In the end, reprimanding the guy for complaining about receiving e-mail he found offensive was totally out of line.

Try Nude Teachers, not Ebonics

In the latest effort to keep disadvantaged kids interested in school San Bernardino County is considering adopting Ebonics.

SAN BERNARDINO Incorporating Ebonics into a new school policy that targets black students, the lowest-achieving group in the San Bernardino City Unified School District, may provide students a more well-rounded curriculum, said a local sociologist.
This will never work as it targets too small a segment of the population. I suggest a broad based approach that is sure to not only increase the attendance of ignorant students; it will also incite more involvement from their ignorant parents as well.

We all have seen the recent stories in the news about teachers having sex with student and the reaction from our friends. Half my buddies tell me "Man, I wish I had a teacher like that in school." I think it's obvious that language is not the issue. These people need titillation to sustain interest. Not to mention it should eliminate the racial content to the debate as witnessed here at Wizbang for his insightful satire. We surely don't want to offend.

Italian PC justice?

They never learn, if you want to trash religion and not get in trouble you must attack Christians.

ROME -- A judge has ordered best-selling author Oriana Fallaci to face trial on charges of defaming Islam in her recent book "The Strength of Reason," the writer and an attorney in the case said Wednesday.

The case arose after Muslim activist Adel Smith charged that "some of the things she said are offensive to Islam," said Smith's attorney, Matteo Nicoli. He cited a phrase from the book that refers to Islam as "a pool ... that never purifies."

Nude University

My second favorite columnist has got to be Mike Adams. His articles usually make me go Hmmmmmm.... with a smile.

In light of our diversity efforts, I feel that UNCW's image is best described as a cross between a brothel and a gay bath house. And the requirement that people wear certain clothes-indeed that they wear clothes at all-runs contrary to that image.

That is why today I am asking the UNC system to establish UNCW as an all-nude university. And I propose that we do it in the name of tolerance and diversity.
