Good bye mothers day cards

If it is really no big deal that people divorce or don't have both a mother and a father then why do we even care?

A school has banned the making of Mother’s Day cards because the headteacher does not want to upset children without a mother.

Helen Starkey has ended the tradition in the interests of "sensitivity".

"More than five per cent of children here are separated from their birth mother and have either no contact or no regular contact with their mother," she said.

Surely these children growing up in well adjusted and loving broken, single parent or non-traditional homes can't possibly feel bad over not having a mom to make a mother's day card for.

Whores Unite!!

The next great civil rights movement is upon us.

The International Committee on the Rights of Sex Workers in Europe, including members from Britain, held a news conference in the Parliament.

It was urging the 25-nation European Union to end discrimination of the sex industry.

"What we do is work and we want it recognised as that," said Scottish sex worker Ruth Morgan Thomas.

If they really want to be taken seriously I would suggest a hefty investment in paper bags.

Camille Cabral, representing French sex workers and wearing pink stickers reading "Sluts Unite" and "Whore Power", said it was time to end the stigma associated with the sex industry.
And maybe find a spokesperson that doesn’t look and act like a disease riddled flaming tramp.

Abortion as a Human Right

Imagine a day when Amnesty International declares a country to be a repressive regime because it restricts or bans the killing of unborn children, a day when one of the most abhorred practices of mankind becomes a human right.

Amnesty International May Declare Abortion A Human Right

At the recent Amnesty International International Council meeting in Mexico a remit motion seeking to declare abortion a human right was discussed. In their latest "Freedom Letter" it is noted that Amnesty International was consulting world-wide on this issue.

Amnesty International had rented it's soul to the devil and now it has sold it.

Girls Gone Wild

Can someone explain to me what is going on with women these days.

A woman hit her pregnant neighbor over the head with a baseball bat, drove her to a secluded area and cut her belly in an attempt to steal her baby that was thwarted only at the last minute, authorities said.
And this.
A third-grade teacher accused of performing oral sex on a 9-year-old boy, allowing students to peek down her blouse and slashing her wrists with glass in front of her students pleaded not guilty to the 24 criminal charges she faces.
UPDATE: More
While they were fighting over who could use the microwave first, Mellesia Grant grabbed a large kitchen knife off the counter and stabbed Merloze Tilme in the abdomen, the sheriff's office said.

Scrap the Whole Pledge of Allegiance

Michael Newdow has been on a vendetta to eliminate the words "under God" from the Pledge of Allegiance but now he says even that is not enough because Christians might recite it with "under God" while atheists skip that part.

Newdow believes that it is time to get rid of the old Pledge of Allegiance altogether. He said that it's impractical to just change the pledge because children will continue to say "under God" out of habit or under protest.
What he means by this is he does not want Christian children to be allowed to say "under God" in violation of a court ruling banning the phrase and forcing modification of the pledge should it be decided that way.

Trio "Married" in The Netherlands

No surprise here. Bring on the people wanting to marry their mothers, children, fathers, grandparents and pets.

“I love both Bianca and Mirjam, so I am marrying them both,” Victor said. He had previously been married to Bianca. Two and a half years ago they met Mirjam Geven through an internet chatbox. Eight weeks later Mirjam deserted her husband and came to live with Victor and Bianca. After Mirjam’s divorce the threesome decided to marry.
Marriage made in heaven.

UPDATE: Oops, I forgot male harems, female harems and group marriages. If we are going to make marriage a circus act lets get them all in.

Party in Sweden Drives to Ban Marrage

See the future.

A new political party in Sweden says it will abolish marriage if it gets into power.

The Feminist Initiative, which expects more than 20% of the vote in next year's election, claims marriage "is not about love, but about ownership".

FI founder Tiina Rosenberg, said: "Instead of marriage we want to promote a co-habitation law that ignores gender and allows more than two people in a partnership."

But she said in allowing relationships to involve more than two people, the FI did not want Sweden to fall back into a "patriarchal structure" with one man having a harem of women.

"A man who lives with eight women in a patriarchal structure, where the man decides and the women obey is not what we are aiming for," said Rosenberg.

Nothing here about one woman with a harem of men. I guess that one is OK.

Raunchy Gay Party in New Orleans Canceled

FOR A LABOR DAY WEEKEND LOADED with glam, gangsters and girth, New Orleans’ French Quarter is the place to be.

The 34th annual Southern Decadence festival, which evolved over the years from a party for a few friends to a six-day street party attended by more than 100,000 people, runs this year from Aug. 31 to Sept. 5.

Unofficially dubbed the “gay Mardi Gras,” Southern Decadence is filled with dozens of parties and thousands of uninhibited gay men frolicking in the street in search of beads and brethren. The event culminates with a Sept. 4 parade featuring elaborate and risqué costumes inspired by this year’s 1920s theme, “Jazz & Jezebels.”

SOUTHERN DECANDENCE earned its reputation by being one of the most unapologetically racy exhibitions of gay life, where outlandish costumes and outdoor sex were the norm.
Their family must be so proud.

New Orleans Shame

Wide spread looting and not just food. New Orleans Cop shot in head by looter, police and fireman join in the looting. Three shootings, looting and carjacking. Two gunmen with AK-47s fired shots into a police station. Childrens hospital under threat of being ransacked.

So much heroism brought low by lawlessness.

New Use Found for Skin of Murdered Babies

Sometimes you just get the feeling that a certain segment of the human race sits around brainstorming on new ways to express the darkness in their souls.

Using human fetal cells, Swiss scientists have developed a new type of "biological bandage" for severe burns, a treatment that speeds and improves the healing process and may prove effective for other serious skin wounds, according to a preliminary study being published today.

But because the bandages are derived from the skin cells of aborted fetuses, the novel therapy is likely to generate controversy in countries like the United States and Italy, which restrict the use of human embryos in scientific research.
"Novel therapy", how quaint.

Euthanasia By Starvation Turns Out to be Harder Then it Looks

We were told that starvation/dehydration was a dignified, easy and peaceful way to die. We were told that it was actually a way of showing mercy. Oh really? Here is a testimonial from a Euthanasia activist that recently tried it herself.

Kelly Taylor, a 28-year-old woman who is not terminally ill, has ended her attempt to starve herself to death after 19 days because of the pain of the effects of starvation.

Mrs. Taylor claimed that she had chosen self-starvation as the only method of suicide that would not leave her husband Richard liable for prosecution. Nevertheless, after 19 days, she said, “It has become too uncomfortable and I would not wish what I have been going through on my worst enemy.”

Home Baby Gender Screening in Time for Abortion is Here

Pandora and her box are racing down the slippery slope to our brave new future. Expect another huge jump in abortions.

The science and business of sex identification took yet another quantum leap forward this past week with the Pregnancystore.com's release of the Baby Gender Mentor Home DNA Gender Testing Kit. Now, a woman can know her child's sex shortly after she discovers her pregnancy. As soon as five weeks after conception, she can prick her finger, FedEx a blood sample to Acu-Gen Biolab in Lowell, MA, and have the sex of her sprouting embryo emailed to her faster than Netflix can send her next movie.

An unequivocal good, many say. What's more harmless than learning whether to buy dolls or trucks for the toy chest?

With the Gender Mentor Kit, a new issue enters many prospective parents' minds: Do we want to have a child of this sex? Or should we try again?
Sex selection in the United States is becoming a multi-million dollar industry. Businesses such as MicroSort, a sperm sorting service that selects for sex before pregnancy, are part of an ongoing commercial effort to normalize sex selection as Extreme Makeover normalizes cosmetic surgery. To be sure, the Gender Mentor Kit does this while also providing a wholly new economic incentive: where sperm sorting costs in upwards of $5000, the Gender Mentor Kit plus an early term abortion - if the results are unfavorable - would cost as little as $600.
And even cheaper if the abortion is covered by insurance or government subsidy. Who wants to bet on which gender will suffer most under this new “family planning” opportunity.

Michael Schiavo Suing for Malpractice Because Wife Didn't Die Sooner?

Could our poster boy of a loving husband for the left be suing for a new paycheck because his wife was given medical care which prolonged her life?

Earlier this week, a new attorney for Michael filed legal papers asking for a 90 day extension of the statute of limitations on filing a medical malpractice case. Mark Perenich, who takes over for euthanasia advocate George Felos, said in the petition that is representing as the attorney for Michael and Terri's estate.
There is no word on what grounds Michael would claim the malpractice occurred.

While Michael may be file suit based on possible mistreatment, nurses who cared for Terri over the years say he was responsible for mistreating her.

If you make the case that your wife can feel nothing and you are trying to have her killed by starvation. Is it then possible to make the case that poor treatment risked her health or caused her pain?

Gay Marriage Becomes a Heterosexual Benefit

A new twist is developing in the gay marriage debate. Let’s suppose for a moment that gay marriage gains wide acceptance. That would mean that forevermore anyone man or woman could enter a marriage for the sole purpose of tax breaks, insurance or other advantages with no interest in each other whatsoever. In this day of rising medical costs this could be huge.

WHAT'S LOVE got to do with it?

Bill Dalrymple, 56, and best friend Bryan Pinn, 65, have decided to take the plunge and try out the new same-sex marriage legislation with a twist -- they're straight men.

"I think it's a hoot," Pinn said.

The proposal came last Monday on the patio of a Toronto bar amid shock and laughter from their friends. But the two -- both of whom were previously married and both of whom are still looking for a good woman to love -- insist that after the humour subsided, a real issue lies at the heart of it all.

"There are significant tax implications that we don't think the government has thought through," Pinn said.

How does one activist feel about this?
Words of warning came from Toronto lawyer Bruce Walker, a gay and lesbian rights activist.

"Generally speaking, marriage should be for love," he said. "People who don't marry for love will find themselves in trouble."

Since the introduction of Bill C-38, Walker considers himself retired in the fight for same-sex recognition.

Walker isn't personally insulted by the planned Pinn-Dalrymple union because he believes in personal freedoms and rights.

Yawn...

Turning marriage into a laughing stock hardly bothers him. Welcome to the further death of marriage. The battle for its sanctity is being lost to those who would destroy it or not care if it was.

Liberals Build Bridge to "The Island" of Death

Every once in a while you see an article you wish you would have thought of. Here is a good one. Be sure to read it all.

CULTURE OF DEATH BUILDS A BRIDGE TO "THE ISLAND"

By Don Feder
Posted July 28, 2005

On leaving a theater, have you ever been tempted to yell at the other moviegoers, "Hey, guys: Do ya get it? Do you know what this is about?"

That's what I wanted to do when the lights came up and the credits started to roll for Michael Bay's just-released sci-fi block-buster "The Island." "Cloning! Embryonic stem cell research! Abortion! Euthanasia!" I wanted to shout.

Still, "The Island's" pro-life message is unmistakable. Liberal critics are grumbling about it. Writing in the Hollywood Reporter, Kirk Honeycutt complains that "These filmmakers have, perhaps unwittingly, delivered a film certain to give succor to the religious right." Oh, no!

It's intriguing to speculate on whether Bay or DreamWorks actually knew what they were doing. Is Bay - best known for action films like "Pearl Harbor" and "Armageddon" -- a deep-cover agent for Pope Benedict XVI? Doubtful. It's more likely the film's message is inadvertent. Unless it's delivering the standard PC pabulum, there isn't much forethought in Hollywood.

Intentionally or not, "The Island" is "Schindler's List" for the biotech Holocaust underway. The film is set in a not-too-distant future where human cloning has been perfected. Ewan McGregor and Scarlett Johansson play human clones - Lincoln Six Echo and Jordan Two Delta - raised in an underground desert facility, called "The Institute."

They've been conditioned to believe they're survivors of a worldwide "contamination," waiting to be sent to an island paradise (the last uncontaminated place on earth) to begin the process of rebuilding. In reality, they're walking organ farms - created to replenish the kidneys, hearts, skin and other vitals of wealthy sponsors. The Institute's staff refer to them as "the product" - you know, like "products of conception," in abortion-ese.

When it's harvest-time, instead of being sent to the island, unlucky winners of the not-so-random lottery go to an operating room where their organs are removed and the product is terminated. Clones are even impregnated. After giving birth, the clone-mother is given a lethal injection on the delivery table (in a sort of reverse abortion), and the baby delivered to its sponsor family.

Sponsors who "buy insurance" -- against accidents, disease, or just the normal effects of aging -- are told their clones will never achieve consciousness or feel pain. However, as the scientist who runs the facility explains (in one of those here's-why moments needed to unravel complicated plots), the cloners discovered that without clone-consciousness, their organs would never function properly.

The abortion movement also peddles soothing lies - that the unborn child isn't human, isn't conscious and doesn't experience pain. Opponents of a ban on partial-birth abortion dogmatically insist that even in this horrific procedure, performed in the third trimester, victims feel nothing as a scalpel is jammed in their skulls and their brains are suctioned out.

In "The Island," McGregor and Johansson discover the ghastly truth and escape. The rest of the movie is devoted to action-sequence attempts to capture and return the runaway clones.

Still, as if to drive home the point, when Dr. Merrick (a Mengele clone who runs The Institute) discovers that McGregor's product line is defective (they're beginning to replicate the memories of their sponsors), he orders a mass "recall." In one chilling scene, clones are herded into a room, the door is sealed and poison gas released. As I was saying -- Auschwitz for the Double Helix generation.

In another scene, which reverberates with echoes of a contemporary political debate, Merrick is challenged on the morality of his death factory. The good doctor contemptuously replies that in two years he'll be able to "cure childhood leukemia." The unasked question: At what cost? Modern medicine is dominated by Deity-wannabes, scientific power-freaks who think the Hippocratic Oath is a fraternity pledge.

When they feign compassion, they're at their most dangerous. With embryonic stem cell research, they've found a way to give abortion a promotion from necessary evil to advancing the frontiers of medicine.

The July 23rd. New York Times ran one of its classic commentaries posing as a news story (also known as front-page pleading) - headlined "Stem Cell Bill, Once Seen as a Sure Thing, Is Now Mired in Uncertainty," which bemoans the difficulty of passing a bill to provide expanded federal funding of stem cell colonies from embryos in storage.

The article urges that embryonic stem cells "are considered by scientists to be the building blocks of the new field of regenerative medicine." The paper breathlessly discloses that unnamed "advocates for patients say the cells hold hope for treatments and cures for a variety of diseases, including Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and diabetes."

The paper then makes a weak attempt at balance, "But because human embryos are destroyed by the research, the studies draw intense moral objections from religious conservatives and opponents of abortion, who regard human embryos as nascent human beings." In other words, the Times informs us, only the religious right (which, according to its worldview, is composed of vicious, ignorant fanatics) and equally irrational abortion opponents see these products as human.

If not human, what then? They were conceived using a human sperm and ovum. They have the genetic code of humans. If implanted in a womb and allowed to gestate, in a matter of months a human baby will emerge. Still, abortion proponents, including the mainstream media, treat the idea that these embryos are nascent ("coming into existence, beginning to emerge") human beings as an exotic theory - like a meteor causing the extinction of the dinosaurs.

They're not human, because I created them, Dr. Merrick says of his walking, talking, breathing, smiling, funny, sexy, clones. How much easier to deny the humanity of a child in utero, or a frozen embryo, or a group of cells. "The Island" shows us the cannibal's cauldron at the bottom of the slippery slope.

Increasingly, America embraces an ethic of death. An unborn child isn't human - because, at the earliest stages of development, it doesn't look like a person. The comatose patient isn't human; he/she just lies there. The brain-damaged woman isn't human; she can't communicate. The clone isn't human; it was created in a laboratory to fulfill a specific purpose. Besides, as Merrick explains, his creations "have no souls."

Which raises the crucial question: Who is human - and on what basis? If the definition is fluid (as moral relativists of the scientific community would have it), will you always make the cut?

Last year, California (on the cutting edge of Brave New World), passed a $7-billion bond issue to subsidize cloning research. New Jersey has become the first state to legalize human cloning. An American company created a cloned cow embryo, which was implanted, developed, aborted and then had its kidney tissue grafted onto the kidneys of an adult cow, to see if the recipient's body would accept the cloned tissue. It did.

Thanks to a principle established by the Supreme Court in Roe v. Wade (humanity is expendable) - which polls say the public is eager to maintain - "The Island" is much closer than moviegoers imagine. We're building an expansion bridge to this particularly grisly aspect of the 21st century, even as you read these words.

Origional here.

Replacing "Till Death" with "Till it's Too Much Hassle" in Marrage

Here we see the continued institutionalization of phony commitment blazing a trail to the death of marriage and healthy families. It's no wonder no one will defend marriage when there are so few true believers.

In some weddings, "'til death do us part" is going the way of "to honor and obey" — that is, out the window.

Vows like "For as long as we continue to love each other," "For as long as our love shall last" and "Until our time together is over" are increasingly replacing the traditional to-the-grave vow — a switch that some call realistic and others call a recipe for failure.

"People understand that anything can happen in life, and you don't make a promise you can't keep. When people get divorced, they mourn the fact that they said ''til death do us part' — you didn't keep your word in church (if they had a church wedding). Some people are in therapy because they promised ‘til death do us part' — it is the sticking point in the healing of a broken marriage. The wording can give you a stigma of personal failure."

This is why Naylor prefers vows like, "For as long as our marriage shall serve the greatest good."

I was part of one of those old fashioned "till death do we part" marriages and constantly remind my wife she will have to have me killed to get rid of me. Sadly that inside joke no longer seems as funny as it used too. Or does that kind of devotion now make me a stalker? Maybe in time.

The Captain has a nice extended analysis here.
