Cindy urges UN to prevent civil war in Iraq

Cindy asks the UN to accomplish something they have never done.

On Monday, she had joined a delegation of women from Iraq at the rally at the United Nations, urging the United Nations to help prevent civil war in Iraq.
She should instead ask the UN to send troops to Iraq so they can rape their wards, pay them for sex, steal the money they need for food or stand by and watch them be hacked to death with machetes. Goals must be kept realistic.

Run Sheehan run

There are times I would love to be a part of the Democratic Party just to help it self destruct for fun. With Cindy Sheehan considering a run against Diane Feinstein in California we have one of those times. I must admit it has come to amaze me how much acceptance and support Cindy has been able to muster considering she is a certifiable dictator and thug loving nutcase. All that is missing is an alien abduction story to credit with her inspiration.

Cindy Sheehan, the peace activist who set up camp near President Bush's Texas ranch last summer, said Saturday she is considering running against Sen. Dianne Feinstein (news, bio, voting record) to protest what she called the California lawmaker's support for the war in Iraq.
The Democratic party is in a struggle for it's soul, half are running scared and the other half are just plain insane. It's hard to tell the difference though when those running scared are trying to out do the insane.

Cindy Sheehan for President

Please, please, please say she will do it.

Last month, DeBar, himself a former Green Party candidate, proposed a Draft Sheehan effort on a Green message board. Unlike some Greens who are pushing a Sheehan for President initiative, DeBar wants to see her move from her home state of California to run against Clinton in the New York primary next year. That way, he writes in his post, "she could force a seismic shift in the direction of the Democratic Party."
I would even donate to her campeign out of sheer spite.

Oh Where, oh where has Mother Sheehan Gone

Two months ago you couldn't pay a news network to keep her off the air. Now you would think she fell off the face of the planet.

Largely ignored by the mainstream news media, anti- Iraq War protester Cindy Sheehan has declared she cannot support Hillary Rodham Clinton for president until the senator publicly advocates withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq.
Yes she is still out there but now she has trained her ire on the media's darling.

Cindy Sheehan, Go to Jail, Go Directly to Jail

Cindy finally gets her wish.

Police warned them three times that they were breaking the law by failing to move along, then began making arrests.
It is so nice to have goals in life.

capt.dcev10209261805.topix_war_demonstrations_dcev102.jpg

I can't say I have ever seen someone so happy to be arrested. What we need here is a deterant. I suggest she be sent to Gitmo where she can show solidarity with like minded brothers in peace. Maybe go on a hunger strike.

This might be a good opportunity to hold her on tax evasion charges instead of her preferred protest activities.

Cindy Sheehan Speaks at NYC Rally Where someone Else Gets Arrested

In keeping with her bad "B" movie style protest Cindy was speaking at a New York Rally of about 200 people where someone else got arrested for an improper permit.

The New York City Police Department forcibly broke up this afternoon's rally for Cindy Sheehan, moving in as Cindy was speaking at about 3 p.m. in Union Square. The rally had been underway for about an hour, and was about to conclude as Cindy spoke following several other speakers, including a few who are traveling with her on her caravan.
All this after Cindy bashed Hillary for not speaking out against the war and for immediate withdrawal. The kooks are struggling with whom to blame for this one since Mayor Bloomberg is a democrat and disappointed that Cindy was not arrested.

Pull Our Troops Out of Occupied New Orleans

Cindy Sheehan is still as crazy as ever.

"George Bush needs to stop talking, admit the mistakes of his all around failed administration, pull our troops out of occupied New Orleans [emphasis mine] and Iraq, and excuse his self from power," she said.
In her Internet posting today, Sheehan said she had "imagined before that if the military had to be used in [continental U.S.] operations that they would be there to help the citizens: Clothe them, feed them, shelter them, and protect them. But what I saw was a city that is occupied."

Cindy Sheehan Grateful to Bush for Not Meeting With Her

It's a woman’s prerogative to change her mind I hear.

"I look back on it, and I am very, very, very grateful he did not meet with me, because we have sparked and galvanized the peace movement," Sheehan told The Associated Press. "If he'd met with me, then I would have gone home, and it would have ended there."
There you go. Everyone got what they wanted.

Bush is amazing, he can give people what they want while they complain that he isn't. That’s leadership.

UPDATE: Cindy jumps on the Bush destroyed New Orleans by his policies with the help of his Nazi supporters bandwagon.

Well, George and I are leaving Crawford today. George is finished playing golf and telling his fables in San Diego , so he will be heading to Louisiana to see the devastation that his environmental policies and his killing policies have caused. Recovery would be easier and much quicker if almost ½ of the three states involved National Guard were not in Iraq. All of the National Guard's equipment is in Iraq also. Plus, with the 2 billion dollars a week that the private contractors are siphoning from our treasury, how are we going to pay for helping our own citizens in Louisiana , Mississippi, and Alabama? And, should I dare say "global warming?" and be branded as a "conspiracy theorist" on top of everything else the reich-wingers[emphasis mine] say about me.

Al Sharpton's Driver Leads Police on Nine Mile Car Chase from Cindy

In a classic example of left wing entitlement Al Sharpton’s driver leads police on a nine mile car chase at 110 miles per hour. All to make it to the airport in time for a flight out.

A driver for the Rev. Al Sharpton led Ellis County Sheriff's deputies on a nine-mile chase at speeds up to 110 mph before state troopers stopped the car, authorities said.

The driver was rushing Sharpton to the airport after his visit anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan on Sunday at her camp outside President Bush's ranch in Crawford.

Fake Grieving Mom Meets Fake President

Many people will tell you that Cindy is a grieving mom and that we must respect that. I am one of those that think she was a grieving mom who is using the symbolic power of a grieving mom to her own ends. In a word, she is faking it. You need look no further then the staged media grieving events, funding from left wing and communist causes, obscene language fed to the faithful that is reigned in for mainstream audiences to know that none of it is real.

Cindy Sheehan hasn't achieved a meeting with the president during her three-week war protest, but she met a man who plays one on TV. Martin Sheen, who portrays the president on NBC's "The West Wing," visited Sheehan's makeshift campsite Sunday.
Well now in a stroke of genius the fake grieving mother gets to meet with the fake president. This oddly represents the ultimate symbol of left leaning authenticity.

Oddly I cannot see anywhere that Cindy Sheehan actually met with Martin Sheen while he was there. Could it be that in carrying out her fake role she faked shunning the fake president?

White Supremacists Join The Sheehan Circus

Not a particular surprise, Cindy's anti-semitic rants are well documented and David Duke jumped in early on.

The latest entrants in the saga of Cindy Sheehan vs. President Bush are white supremacists, as they plan to rally against the Iraq War this weekend in Crawford, Texas.

Members of Stormfront.org are tossing their figurative hoods into the mix, as they invite supporters to come to Camp Casey to "let the world know that white patriots were first and loudest to protest this war for Israel."

UPDATE: Cindy plans to stalk Tom Delay next.
"I think our first stop might be Tom DeLay's office," she said, surrounded by supporters. "I just wanted to let him know so he'll be in his office when we get there."
OOPS. She forgot to specify that he bring donuts and coffee.

The Cindy Sheehan Circus Goes on Tour

So much for going home when Bush leaves Crawford. Now we get the full grief tour.

Cindy Sheehan said the day after she leaves Aug. 31, she will embark on a bus tour ending up in Washington, D.C., on Sept. 24. Then the group will start a 24-hour vigil in the nation's capital.

crawf1.jpg

She may want to re-hang the flag in the back of this bus if it is used for the tour, we wouldn't want the public to get the impression she was part of the hate America first crowd.

we_support_cindy.jpg

Reverend Al is on his way to save the day.

Sharpton's office said Thursday he would participate in a prayer vigil Sunday with Sheehan in Crawford, Texas.
It's never officially a circus until the good Reverend Al Sharpton makes a showing.

UPDATE: As for those touching moments and photo-ops.

The camp at Crawford is full of Cindy Sheehan supporters, people from all walks of life. But off to the side are a small group of professionals, skilled in politics and public relations who are marketing her message.

Cindy Sheehan kneels before a cross with her son's name on it, touches his picture, wipes her tears. It's an outpouring of emotion that is part of a scheduled news event organized daily for the television radio and print reporters who crowd in to capture a mother's grief.

It must be wonderful to be able to tear up on queue. Especially with a PR machine backing you up to make the best of those Kodak moments. Be sure to read it all.

Cindy Sheehan Makes Her Case Alongside Americas Enemies

Please don't try to sell us on Cindy Sheehan the grieving mother shtick.

The International Socialist Organization at SFSU, an organization that advocates the violent overthrow of the U.S. government, sponsored Stewart’s appearance along with Students Against War, and the Campaign to End the Death Penalty.
Kaplan-LynneStewart.jpg

Lynne Stewart

“Why can’t we get anyone but criminals to come here to SFSU and speak?” Robert Journey, treasurer of San Francisco State University College Republicans asked rhetorically as five members of the campus club met to attend a lecture by Lynne Stewart. The terrorist lawyer, who billed herself as a “Civil Rights Lawyer and Political Prisoner,” was recently convicted of conspiracy and for passing along fatwas (Islamic religious edicts) from Sheikh Omar Abdel Rahman to his terrorist followers in Egypt’s Islamic Group. Rahman is the blind sheikh responsible for the first World Trade Center bombing in 1993 that left six Americans dead and more than 1,000 people injured.

Sheehan said she considered Lynne Stewart her Atticus Finch, the lawyer who defended an innocent Black man accused of rape in the book and film “To Kill A Mockingbird.”

“They’re not waging a War on Terror but a War of Terror,” she said. “The biggest terrorist is George W. Bush.”

Cindy Sheehan Uses the Deceased Kids of Other Mothers

It's not enough that Cindy uses her own son in her cause. A son that willingly joined the cause in Iraq in spite of his mom's efforts to get him to desert. She has to use the dead sons of others as well.

On one white cross read the name Mattew Matula: their 20-year-old son who was killed in Iraq last year.

"He's not a victim, he's a hero, and I think that everybody that's serving our country is heroes," Matt Matula said.

"He knew joining the Marines, his chances are, that was the purpose. His main number one job was to defend our country. He was very aware of that before he signed up," Toni Matula said.

So Matt Matula went to Crawford to stand up for his son, a Marine who proudly stood by the war he died in.

"I went there and had Matthew's name taken off of there. It's fine for people to grieve their own way. It aggravates me to see them using other people's names to further their cause," Matt Matula said.

"For people to use his name against it is not what he died for. He died so that they can do that though," Toni Matula said.

The Matulas' youngest son has just recently joined the military and is also heading to Iraq.

The Matula family has to be one amazing family.

More examples and insight here and here.

Cindy Sheehan Foaming at the Mouth

Beware, it is vulgar.

"We are not waging a war on terror in this country. We’re waging a war of terror. The biggest terrorist in the world is George W. Bush!"

So declared Cindy Sheehan earlier this year during a rally at at San Francisco State University.

Sheehan, who is demanding a second meeting with Bush, stated: "We are waging a nuclear war in Iraq right now. That country is contaminated. It will be contaminated for practically eternity now."

Sheehan unleashed a foul-mouth tirade on April 27, 2005:

"They’re a bunch of fucking hypocrites! And we need to, we just need to rise up..." Sheehan said of the Bush administration.

"If George Bush believes his rhetoric and his bullshit, that this is a war for freedom and democracy, that he is spreading freedom and democracy, does he think every person he kills makes Iraq more free?"

"The whole world is damaged. Our humanity is damaged. If he thinks that it’s so important for Iraq to have a U.S.-imposed sense of freedom and democracy, then he needs to sign up his two little party-animal girls. They need to go to this war."

"We want our country back and, if we have to impeach everybody from George Bush down to the person who picks up dog shit in Washington, we will impeach all those people."

Yep, she needs to be the source of all our foreign policy decisions.

Show of Grief

05.08.14.ShowofGrief-X.gif
Cindy Sheehanisms via Free Republic. I would post on something besides Cindy but the news is wall-to-wall Cindy these days.

On America

"We began the killing as soon as we stepped foot on these shores [of America] and the killing has gone on unabated for over 200 years."

"There has always been excuses for wars, but NONE of them have been good or valid."

"This country is not worth dying for.”

“America has been killing people on this continent since it was started."

"The U.S. government is a morally repugnant system.”

On 9/11

“9/11 was Pearl Harbor for the neo-conservatives’ agenda.”

The Jewish Plot

"Am I emotional? Yes, my first born was murdered. Am I angry? Yes, he was killed for lies and for a PNAC Neo-Con agenda to benefit Israel."

"My son joined the Army to protect America, not Israel."

"Am I stupid? No, I know full-well that my son, my family, this nation, and this world were betrayed by a George Bush who was influenced by the neo-con PNAC agenda after 9/11."

"My first born was killed violently for a neo-con agenda that only benefits a very chosen few in this world."

“George Bush and his neo-conservatives killed my son.”

On Other Threats

"Is there yet an American who can not clearly see that Dick Cheney...will say whatever he thinks is required to ultimately cause wealth and power to move to himself and to his friends? ...need I defile this holy place with words like "Haliburton" and "Kellog, Brown & Root" and "torture" and "US weapons industry"?"

Is there anyone in America who cannot yet see that Donald Runsfeld is a liar...that he, as with Hitler and Stalin....will say anything so long as he thinks it will help shape the world to his own liking? Is there even one, sane adult among us who cannot see that Donald Rumsfeld is a threat to our nation's security and to peace on our beloved earth?

"As soft-spoken and sincere-sounding as Paul Wolfowitz is, is there yet any sane adult in this country who's skin does not crawl when this murderous liar opens his mouth and speaks? Am I the only person in this room who clearly sees that Paul Wolfowitz is a threat to our nation's security...and to peace on our beloved earth?"

Our Elected Leaders

"Our country has been overtaken by murderous thugs...gangsters who lust after fortunes and power; never caring that their addictions are at the expense of our loved ones, and the blood of innocent people near and far."

"We've watched these thugs parade themselves before the whole world as if they are courageous advocates for Christian moral values...and for the spread of democracy."

"The US government is now ruled by murderous hypocrites...criminals who should be arrested, charged appropriately, confined behind bars."

"In their secret hiding places, while celebrating newly won fortunes with their fellow brass, these men must surely congratulate themselves with orgies of carnal pleasure as they mock the dwindling multitudes who are yet so blind as to mistake them for God's devoted servants."

"Every member of Bush's executive branch (past and present) and every member of Congress who voted to give George the authority to invade Iraq have innocent blood on their hands. For the next State of the Union address, maybe the hypocrites in Congress should shamefacedly display blood-soaked hands, instead of proudly wriggling fingers stained with ink to symbolize sham Iraqi elections."

"Then we have this lying bastard, George Bush..."

"So anyway that filth-spewer and warmonger, George Bush was speaking..."

"We can't let somebody rise to the top who will pardon these war criminals. Because they need to go to prison for what they've done in this world. We can't have a pardon. They need to pay for what they've done."

Civic Duty

"Another thing that I'm doing is - - my son was killed in 2004, so I'm not paying my taxes for 2004. If I get a letter from the IRS, I'm gonna say, you know what, this war is illegal; this is why this war is illegal. This war is immoral; this is why this war is immoral. You killed my son for this. I don't owe you anything. And if I live to be a million, I won't owe you a penny."

"And I want them to come after me, because unlike what you've been doing with the war resistance, I want to put this frickin' war on trial. And I want to say, "You give me my son, and I'll pay your taxes."

On Terrorism

"You get America out of Iraq and Israel out of Palestine and you'll stop the terrorism."

"When I was growing up, it was Communists'. Now it's Terrorists'. So you always have to have somebody to fight and be afraid of, so the war machine can build more bombs, guns, and bullets and everything."

“The biggest terrorist is George W. Bush.”

Support For Troops

"I DEFINITELY think that we should support war resisters in the military. "

"I know several people who are being court-martialed, and they need support--they need monetary support, they need our moral support, and they need to know that we’re with them."

"We need to encourage more people to do this. "

Concern For Others

"Why does Terry Schiavo deserve to live more than my son, Spc. Casey Austin Sheehan?"

Hate Filled Open Letter to Bush From Cindy Sheehan

Cindy Sheehan has built a sort of shrine to her son on the internet. On this shrine she has an open letter to President Bush that begins like this.

AN OPEN LETTER TO GEORGE BUSH

November 4, 2004

Dear George,

You don’t mind if I call you George do you? When you sent me a letter offering your condolences on the death of my son, Spc. Casey Austin Sheehan, in the illegal and unjust war on Iraq, you called me Cindy, so I naturally assume we are on a first name basis.

George, it has been seven months today since your reckless and wanton foreign policies killed my son, my big boy, my hero, my best-friend: Casey. It has been seven months since your ignorant and arrogant lack of planning for the peace murdered my oldest child. It has been two days since your dishonest campaign stole another election…but you all were way more subtle this time than in 2000, weren’t you? You hardly had to get the Supreme Court of the United States involved at all this week.

You feel so proud of yourself for betraying the country again, don’t you? You think you are very clever because you pulled the wool over the eyes of some of the people again. You think that you have some mandate from God…that you can “spend your political capital” any way that you want. George you don’t care or even realize that 56,000,000 plus citizens of this country voted against you and your agenda. Still, you are going to continue your ruthless work of being a divider and not a uniter. George, in 2000 when you stole that election and the Democrats gave up, I gave up too. I had the most ironic thought of my life then: "Oh well, how much damage can he do in four years?" Well, now I know how much you have damaged my family, this country, and this world. If you think I am going to allow you another four years to do even more damage, then you truly are mistaken. I will fight for a true vote count and if that fails, your impeachment. Also, the impeachment of your Vice President. The only thing is, I'm not politically savvy, and I don't have a Karl Rove to plan my strategy, but I do have a big mouth and a righteous cause, which still mean something in this country, I hope.

All of this lying, fooling, and betraying must be “hard work” George. You really think you know what hard work is?

There is more but I am sure by now you get the substance of the entry. Also there used to be a section in the album for the family meeting with President Bush which occurred in June of 2004. For some reason the pictures have been removed from the site. Not to worry though. Google had thumbnails.

The Verdict is in, Cindy Sheehan is an Opportunistic Nutcase

The following exerpts were from a telephone conversation strategy session.

"This is something that can't be ignored," Sheehan said during a conference call with bloggers representing sites like democrats.com, codepink4peace.org, and crooksandliars.com. "They can't ignore us, and they can't put us down. Thank God for the Internet, or we wouldn't know anything, and we would already be a fascist state."

"Our government is run by one party, every level," Sheehan continued, "and the mainstream media is a propaganda tool for the government." Sheehan also called the 2004 presidential election "the election, quote-unquote, that happened in November."

The conference call was moderated by Democratic strategist Joe Trippi, who managed former Vermont governor Howard Dean's presidential campaign in 2003 and 2004. It was also organized by another Democratic strategist, Bob Fertik of democrats.com. (During the conference, Fertik said that for the purposes of the call, he was representing yet another website, the antiwar site afterdowningstreet.com.) Finally, Jodie Evans of the anti-war group Code Pink also took part in running the sometimes-chaotic call. Trippi has posted a recording of the call on his own website, joetrippi.com

When a paranoid nut case gets together with a bunch of blame America first left wing nut cases and they get strategy advice from a democratic strategist it is no longer about grief.

Many on the left are crying foul that many on the right take exception to what Cindy Sheehan is doing. Just remember, as tragic as Casey's death is it does not turn Cindy into a saint or foreign policy expert. America is being played.

UPDATE: More of Cindy Sheehan's hate America First in an article aptly named "Exploiting the Dead".

Cindy Sheehan's Family Pleads With Her to Stop, President Speaks

In response to questions regarding the Cindy Sheehan/Crawford Texas issue: Sheehan Family Statement:

The Sheehan Family lost our beloved Casey in the Iraq War and we have been silently, respectfully grieving. We do not agree with the political motivations and publicity tactics of Cindy Sheehan. She now appears to be promoting her own personal agenda and notoriety at the the expense of her son's good name and reputation. The rest of the Sheehan Family supports the troops, our country, and our President, silently, with prayer and respect.

Sincerely,

Casey Sheehan's grandparents, aunts, uncles and numerous cousins.

[Hat tip: Drudge]

"I sympathize with Mrs. Sheehan," Bush said. "She feels strongly about her position, and she has every right in the world to say what she believes. This is America. She has a right to her position, and I thought long and hard about her position. I've heard her position from others, which is: Get out of Iraq now. And it would be a mistake for the security of this country and the ability to lay the foundations for peace in the long run if we were to do so."
President responds. Your questions have been asked and answered Cindy. It's time to go home.

Posted by Sid at 05:02 PM | Comments (0) | Cindy Sheehan

Mom, I have to go. It's my duty.

Cindy Sheehan never wanted Casey to go to Iraq.

"I begged him not to go," she said through tears. "I said, 'I'll take you to Canada' ... but he said, 'Mom, I have to go. It's my duty. My buddies are going.'"
This statement alone shows Casey was a young man to be proud of for his sense of duty. It breaks my heart that she has decided to dishonor his memory.

Go home and grieve Cindy, honor your sons shining example of duty, honor, service and yes sacrifice.

Momma Sheehan Builds a Platform for Insanity or Hate on Son's Grave

I have been watching the Cindy Sheehan spectacle building out at the Crawford ranch and have been frankly disgusted. I can understand grief over the loss of a child as well as the next person but we all know that what we are witnessing is not as simple as grief. It is either insanity or politics.

If this is insanity then this poor woman needs psychological help not PR help. If she is in the middle of a break down her friends, supporters and various other opportunists are willing to ride this poor woman to the nuthouse or grave for their own political purposes. But as usual everyone else likes to see a good car wreck. My guess is everyone will stand around until she harms herself and then blame Bush for not intervening.

If this is politics it is politics of the most putrid kind. An anti war mom whose son proudly served using his death for her own political platform. Yea, I know, how dare you even think such a thing of this woman in her grief. Let’s just say I have seen too many parents recently drown their own children to think anything is outside the realm of possibility.

Cindy Sheehan has already met with the President once. She has had her say in every news outlet in the land. I am sure the President even knows she is outside making a spectacle of herself. What is left? A visit with the President so she can swear, cry, rant and maybe slap him on the face?

I watch the news and see everyone (including conservatives) tip-toeing around her when they speak with or about her. No one wants to be insensitive. Cindy is beyond the point of needing sensitivity she needs some tough love. Her family needs to step up and get her the help she needs and stop letting others use her or she needs to be called out as the opportunist fraud she is.

I will let those around her decide which it is.

Michelle Malkin has the best roundup of recent Cindy Sheehan news here.
