Pluto voted off the solar system

This is an OUTRAGE. How can a planet be voted out once it has already been allowed into the club. Not only that but they pick on the smallest planet, a planet which is in no position to defend itself. Earth isn't all that big compared to many of the planets but I don't see them trying to vote out the Earth. Sounds like a bit of home grown favoritism to me.

Pluto was stripped of its status as a planet on Thursday when astronomers from around the world redefined it as a "dwarf planet," leaving just eight major planets in the solar system.
How will Pluto ever recover from this blow to it's self esteem. Surely if Rhode Island and Hawaii can be states then Pluto can be a planet.
