Forced to convert to Islam at gunpoint
I guess I should stop being amazed when reporters become apologists for their brutal captors and the huge number of beautiful and kindhearted people that harbor and support their activities.
"I hope that this never scares a single journalist away from coming to Gaza to cover the story because the Palestinian people are very beautiful and kindhearted," said Steve Centanni, a 60-year-old American reporter who was released along with cameraman Olaf Wiig, 36, of New Zealand. "The world needs to know more about them."
"We were forced to convert to Islam at gunpoint," Centanni told Fox. "Don't get me wrong here. I have the highest respect for Islam, and I learned a lot of good things about it, but it was something we felt we had to do because they had the guns, and we didn't know what the hell was going on."They have no problems characterizing the Israeli or U.S. governments as careless or insensative but fall all over themselves making excuses for abuse at the hands of the heros of the Palestinian people. Imagine the fate of someone who was a faithful Christian. Luckly an important lesson is being learned.
"The entire international community is beginning to realize that journalists should never be hostages or pawns in world events. Their job is to tell the story of the world as it unfolds," Ailes said.So I suppose only the "little people" like children and women should be taken hostage, forced to convert and/or killed.
I wonder if a death threat will now be issued against the reporters for committing apostasy.

Forced conversions are not valid in Islam, it must me done out of their free will without any forcible influence. Whomever tried to force these conversion is obviously misguided.
