Can a "good muslim" really stand by and let terrorists kill
The British are considering the obvious and proper idea of racial profiling to help reduce the gridlock at airports. As it turns out they have discovered that searching every 80 year old Anglo great-grandmother or Japanese tourist is not an effective use of resources. What I find interesting is the concerns that the "good Muslim" community will refuse to cooperate with police and allow would be mass murderers to carry out their efforts to rain bodies from the sky.
Such a move could spark outrage among Britain's Muslims but aviation experts said profiling was vital to break the gridlock at airports, in chaos since last week due to tightened security after police said they foiled an Islamist plot to bomb planes.The idea that you can take Islamic terrorism seriously and then turn around and search everyone to avoid offending Muslims is a joke of epic proportions. The idea that “good Muslims” would allow hundreds to die if offended by common sense measures only makes the case. When and if white Anglos begin to regularly threaten and blow airplanes out of the sky feel free to profile me.Former British police chief John Stevens said airport bottlenecks could be reduced by careful targeting, with "young Muslim men" a focus.
Metropolitan Police Chief Superintendent Ali Desai, one of Britain's top Muslim police officers, said of the plan: "What you are suggesting is that we should have a new offence in this country called 'traveling whilst Asian'."
"What we don't want to do is actually alienate the very communities who are going to help us catch terrorists," he told BBC Newsnight on Monday.
