Let those anti-American zealots show themselves for what they are
I was never a fan of bans on flag burning, yes even the American flag. I have always felt that this act allows those who hate America to out themselves and their allies for all to see in the most harmless of ways. I for one like knowing who Americas enemies are without having to pay their rent and food while they soak up left wing praise in jail with cable TV.
The U.S. Senate on Tuesday defeated by one vote an effort to change the Constitution to let Congress outlaw flag burning, rejecting a politically charged issue backed by conservatives for the second time in a month.So count me as one who thinks flag burning legislation is a silly time wasting political ploy that distracts from the real work that needs to be done and was probably rigged to fail from the start by both sides.
Congress needs to quit wasting our time and trying out patience.
