Suicide, Accidents and Homicide are 248% higher Following an Abortion
Something you will never hear from planned parenthood.
Compared to women who have not been pregnant in the prior year, deaths from suicide, accidents and homicide are 248% higher in the year following an abortion, according to a new 13-year study of the entire population of women in Finland. The study also found that majority of the extra deaths among women who had abortions were due to suicide. The suicide rate among women who had abortions was six times higher than that of women who had given birth in the prior year and double that of women who had miscarriages.
Previous studies have also linked abortion to higher rates of substance abuse, anxiety, sleep disorders, suicidal thoughts, psychiatric illness, relationship problems, and risk-taking behavior, any of which may increase a women's risk of death by suicide or accident. No big deal.
While the risk of death from suicide, accidents, and homicide was highest among women who had abortions within the prior year, the risk of death was lowest among women who gave birth within the prior year, who had less than half the death rate of women who had not been pregnant.Makes you think doesn't it.

It's more than likely from the sort of people who have abortions rather than the abortions themselves that leads to these statistics, however that should not make it illegal since it is a coincidental relationship as opposed to a cause/effect one. It's like saying you killed my dog because you were living next door. Both are true, but not necessarily related.
If I were to use a precedent of something legal that raises chance of death, smoking leads to higher chancs of lung cancer, and is a direct proven statistical cause.

Precedent arguement aside (I generally don't like those), drinking is something that is generally percieved people have a right to do. It leads to higher death/accident/homicide rates (driving or not) and yet people tolerate it.
If you claim "loss of baby" mental damages, that study says that the statistics for miscarraiges are similar to non-pregnant women, so no direct link is still proven, and must still be considered a coincidental statistic.
These statistics do not build a logical case(which is what statistics do) against abortion until it is proven to have a direct implication link:
abortion implies higher death/suicide/homicide rate
(Why do they even have death by homicide in there? I would think that would be out of the arguement. It would probably sharpen the statistics "against" abortion (should it be a direct correlation) if it were taken out.>)

Those statistics would only be valid if all other aspects of the women's lives were the same. Clearly that is not the case.

Given what we all know about the emotional makeup of women can you seriously not give weight to the arguement that an abortion may lead a woman to suicide, self loathing carelessness and irratic emotional behavior resulting in domestic violence and death? There are many women recieving mental care today over having abortions.

You're being overgeneral again about that "emotional makeup thing." While I can't deny an unexaggerated version of that isn't uncommon, I doubt there is, or ever will be, a conclusive study on whether the "emotional makeup" is "significant enough" to factor it into any possible, potential, maybe long term mental issue that may or may not be caused by aborting/not aborting/not having in the first place a baby/fetus, given the population of women. It's just too much work to do conclusively without having a very in depth mental study.
Looking for a while, I was unable to find any statistical studies where the number of women who were recieving mental care were shown, or it was specified that the mental care was for abortion, depression, or other things that are theorized to be cause by abortion was what was being done after, or anything conclusive to any relevant degree at all(the number of studied women was around 100 or less). The statistics I did find, ranged from 10% or less having reported mental health problems, including depression, to 45%. But again, there is also probably a higher rate of people with pre-existing mental health problems that do abortions as opposed to non-pregnant women, women who were pregnant and miscarried, and pregnant women who birthed. Also, none of them involved a significantly large amount of aborting women(it is estimate that 1.3 million abortions were performend each year from 2000-2004, 100 people isn't enough). Finally, none are very specific on whether the visits after are abortion related, baby related, couples counseling or other things.
P.S. Did you really mean to imply that all women are naturally self-loating, suicidal, and prone to domestic violence?

Sid A--if it were an implication, then there will be trouble! There are no conclusive studies because many abortions are also performed under the guise of other procedures. Some doctors say there has been a miscarriage, bring a lady in, and actually do an abortion.
So who is going to provide statistics? Abortion clinics? They will never give answers, as many also provide illegal abortions, in the case of minors. This is also done more often than ever published. These clinics are not going to indict themselves.
I am a surgical nurse, and have seen some ob/gyn doctors try the above tricks. I also have spoken to many nurses who work in abortion clinics. They certainly have their own stories to tell.
My point is, without a statistical starting point, there is not any reason to research further. Nothing will be statistically valid.
