Rep. Murtha Goes Stark Raving Mad
Murtha is now a fitting symbol for Democrat leadership. He is a highly decorated war hero that has completely lost his mind. By his description you would think he was talking about some poor third world conscripts.
Most U.S. troops will leave Iraq within a year because the Army is "broken, worn out" and "living hand to mouth," Rep. John Murtha (news, bio, voting record) told a civic group.Have the democrats sunk so low they must portray our troops as being so pathetic? The Bush policy is to win but evidently Murtha cannot even stomach the use of the word.
"I predict he'll make it look like we're staying the course," Murtha said, referring to Bush. "Staying the course is not a policy."Staying the course until victory is achieved is an excellent policy and I think is compares favorably to democrat preferred cut and run proposals. It's sad really to see someone who stood up when America needed him loose his mind, dignity and resolve.
I was willing to give Murtha the benefit of the doubt based on his service just like I wanted to give Cindy Sheehan consideration as a grieving mother. Now Murtha has demonstrated he is nothing more then a cheap political demagogue or a lunatic willing to tell lies to advance his agenda or demonstrate his insanity or his loss of nerve.
