The article doesn't say if the toddler was still breast feeding so I am not sure if that is out as a possibility. It may be that this Palestinian mother just wanted to make sure her baby was well fed.

It is a sad fact that terrorists prey not only on their opponents but also on the weakest in their own society by convincing those who are young or mentally disabled to strap on bombs and blow up innocents. Why must the turn a mothers love into a tool of death?
